MixShowLive 2012 Recap!Published by Gyant on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 7:31 am.
After finally recovering from this years MixShow Live events, I’m able to bring you all a recap. Hip-Hop celebs like Big Boi, TI, Myko, Diamond, Yung Joc, Scrappy, and many more all came out to show love to Tony Neal’s long running weekend retreat. Numerous acts have been broken by circulating through the concentrated amount of DJ’s, industry leaders, bloggers and media. And people come from across the globe with hope of taking their career to the next level.
Here’s some more insight via AHH:
MIXSHOWLIVE Atlanta has recruited numerous industry heavy hitters to bring their expertise and brands to the conference. VP of Urban Programming for CBS Radio, Reggie Rouse (recently named on Billboard’s Urban Power 30 List), Deborah Atney (of Mizay Entertainment), DJ Greg Street, DJ Drama, and Source Magazine Publisher L. Londell McMillan, are among the confirmed panelists speaking this year.
The four power-packed days of MIXSHOWLIVE Atlanta featured an array of events with The W Hotel Buckhead as the headquarters and location of most of the panels and workshops, including panels on “Creating Your Image,” an “Industry Power Panel,” and the highly-anticipated, “Programmers POWER Panel,” featuring urban radio programmers from around the country. Major record labels Island/Def Jam and Interscope/Geffen/A&M are both hosting private listening suites. MIXSHOWLIVE Atlanta will also feature a pool party, celebrity bowling event, and a skating party.
I didn’t get a chance to make it to all the panels and parties, but the weekend seemed like a success. Independently Major Entertainment was one of the sponsors of the weekend. So you already know I got tons pics of their star artist Myko partying it up like a rock-star. Plus pics from the Sunday block party at the W Hotel Buckhead.
