Today: @BMoreBrave Makes Her 106 & Park Debut!

Published by Gyant on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 12:29 pm.

Gyant on BET.com is all about showing love to today’s simmering artists. I’ve already put you onto poet, rapper, songstress, and dancer Brave from Baltimore.

Her new smash “Break Me Down,” has gotten tons of love online from the likes of Bossip, Gyantunplugged.com, Singersoom and many many more. And tonight we here at BET are finally showing her some love.

The straight guys wanna get with her, the gays guys wanna be her and the lesbians will take anything they can get, which seems appropriate given the amazingly well-written and impactful single. “Break Me Down,” is a wonderful single spreading peace and positivity.

It’s good to see the Baltimore native reaping from the fruits of her hard work. I’ve been a long time fan. And I’m sure if you’re not already you will be, too. In time.

Be sure to tune into BET 106 & Park tonight and as “Break Me Down” makes its debut. And don’t forget to vote for it. Here

The Scene: @Ludacris Celebrity Basketball Game @ Morehouse 9/5

Published by Gyant on Monday, September 6, 2010 at 9:44 am.

Written By Team Gyant member Stacey Morris

The headliners of the players for the Celebrity Basketball Tournament during Luda Day Weekend were Chris Brown, Nelly, Roscoe Dash, Day 26, Sammie, and Hot Sauce from And 1 mixtapes. Ludacris and Larenz Tate were coaches of the home team, while Kenyon Martin and Teyana Taylor were coaches of the away team.

A lot of stars showed up in support of the tournament such as Kelly Rowland, Ne-Yo, Bow Wow, Lil Scrappy, Teairra Mari, Keshia Knight Pulliam, Sway from MTV, and Tameka Foster.

I thought Lance Gross was going to be playing the whole time just because he was one of the few tall celebrities. I thought wrong because he was bench warming with Terrence J from “106 & Park.”

You could clearly see who was an actual basketball player and who was playing in the game for the cause, except when it came to Nelly and Chris Brown. They were playing like they bet money on the game. Chris Brown may have finally made his comeback. When he was announced and brought onto the court, the screams were deafening, which is why he was announced last.

I just so happened to notice that Kenyon Martin’s infamous tattoo of Trina’s lips were covered up. Maybe Kelly Rowland wasn’t having that.

Throughout the whole Luda Day Weekend, Ludacris was able to give back to the community with all of the money made over the weekend and through his sponsors. He gets an A+ for all of his hard work.

Sounds like a helluva time.

Until Next Time…
