Published by Gyant on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at 12:35 pm.

The time has come yet again. Atlanta’s self-proclaimed “entrepanegro” kicks off the 7th Annual Luda Day Weekend with an impressive schedule. For the past 6 years, I have been consistently bringing you all a birds-eye view into exclusive events. From the private VIP celebrity dinner, to the ultra lavish pool party, Luda, Ebony Son Management, and his DTP team have proven year after year that, not only do the know how to party, but they also know how to push the envelope each and every year keeping L.D.W. fresh and new.

In addition to the above mentioned causes, LudaDay Weekend has also partnered with the local organization,  Charles McCree Presents: Project Walk A Mile In My Shoes, to collect donations of new and slightly used shoes and sneakers to be collected at the Ludacris (Team Luda) vs. Kevin Hart (Team Hart) Celebrity Basketball Game on Sunday, September 2nd, at Morehouse Forbes Arena. The collected shoes will be donated to the following Atlanta-based organizations; Hosea Feed The Hungry, ENBA CAMP & YouthTakeBack, and My Sister’s House women’s shelter for abused women. Since its inception in 2008, Project Walk A Mile in My Shoes has collected over 7,000 pairs of shoes for several organizations including The Boys & Girls Club, It’s Cool To Be Smart, My Sister’s House and Hosea Feed the Hungry . The Scene: @Ludacris Brings Hollywood To @TheMansionElan For Luda Day Weekend!

Published by Gyant on Monday, September 6, 2010 at 10:52 am.

The weekend isn’t quite over just yet, and Ludacris has already had every relevant celebrity attach themselves to his uber successful Luda Day Weekend event. Of course the Gyant was live and direct to bring you all a live blog via Twitter from my time at Mansion in Atlanta, but for those who didn’t know, and or missed it, we still got you covered on Gyant on BET.

Per Thaddeus McAdams w/ Exclusive Access:

The stars aligned as Ludacris and his celebrity friends partied the night away at Atlanta’s newly-renovated hotspot, Mansion Elan. Minus a film crew, the VIP transformed into The Fast & Furious 5 set with Ludacris, Vin Diesel & Tyrese popping bottles of Conjure Cognac.

Chris Brown surprised guests with an impromptu performance of “Deuces,” while Kelly Rowland, Lance Gross, Terrence J, Teairra Mari, Allen Iverson, and numerous pro athletes joined in on the LudaDay Weekend festivities.

Chris Breezy pulled through as the ladies all lost it.

Vin Diesel was in the building, too. Yea he’s a tad bit transparent ain’t he.

Lance Gross, who’s always such a nice guy. He saw me before I saw him and greeted me. Always a good guy.

You know “Fast and Furious” is filming a new installment from the hit franchise in ATL right now so it’s no surprise Tyrese would make an appearance.

Terrence J and some hussie… [edit..I sooooo didn't realize that was Teairra Mari.. my apologies]

Chris enjoying himself. As DJ Tephlon played his current hit “Deuces”

Say what you will, but I think Club Mansion in Decatur had the baddest event of the night. So many chicks, so many dudes, so many celebrities and the music was so on point you had to recognize it and pay homage to the party gods.

Shouts to Flav, DJ Tephlon, Botchey, Chaka Zulu, Jeff Dixon and Ludacris for looking out.

The Scene: @Ludacris Celebrity Basketball Game @ Morehouse 9/5

Published by Gyant on Monday, September 6, 2010 at 9:44 am.

Written By Team Gyant member Stacey Morris

The headliners of the players for the Celebrity Basketball Tournament during Luda Day Weekend were Chris Brown, Nelly, Roscoe Dash, Day 26, Sammie, and Hot Sauce from And 1 mixtapes. Ludacris and Larenz Tate were coaches of the home team, while Kenyon Martin and Teyana Taylor were coaches of the away team.

Chris Brown stopping for the GU camera.

A lot of stars showed up in support of the tournament such as Kelly Rowland, Ne-Yo, Bow Wow, Lil Scrappy, Teairra Mari, Keshia Knight Pulliam, Sway from MTV, and Tameka Foster.

I thought Lance Gross was going to be playing the whole time just because he was one of the few tall celebrities. I thought wrong because he was bench warming with Terrence J from “106 & Park.”

Petite Sammie having fun with the GU camera.

You could clearly see who was an actual basketball player and who was playing in the game for the cause, except when it came to Nelly and Chris Brown. They were playing like they bet money on the game. Chris Brown may have finally made his comeback. When he was announced and brought onto the court, the screams were deafening, which is why he was announced last.

I just so happened to notice that Kenyon Martin’s infamous tattoo of Trina’s lips were covered up. Maybe Kelly Rowland wasn’t having that.

Throughout the whole Luda Day Weekend, Ludacris was able to give back to the community with all of the money made over the weekend and through his sponsors. He gets an A+ for all of his hard work.

Sounds like a helluva time.

Until Next Time…

The Scene: Terrence J, Ludacris Lil’ Scrappy, Diamond & More Celebrate @LudadayWeekend Block Party!

Published by Gyant on Friday, September 3, 2010 at 10:55 pm.

Shoutout to Ludacris for showing luv to his industry community by throwing a DTP Block Party. The sweltering heat couldn’t stop Luda and his Disturbing Tha Peace family from throwing a bash for the people. The homie Kodak at Kiddunot.com has the first set of pictures from the event.

Not only was there bottomless Conjure following, placed in the center of everything were your favorite Atlanta celebs. Diamond, Lil’ Scrappy, (and his daughter), Nate Walka, Terrence J, DJ Trauma (not pictured), and of course, Luda was in the building with his dog, and the rest of the DTP affiliates.

Check out the pics below.

Terrence J staying cool in the air conditioning. I hear he’s making SEVERAL appearances around the city this holiday weekend where he’s expected to make between $10k-20k. Must be nice.

Diamond rocks an interesting new look along with Kodak’s co-sign. Is that a bang or hat? Im just asking.

Scrappy and his dimes. Man you gotta luv ATL.

Ludacris and Scrappy. Oh and of course Conjure.

Um..OK!

You gotta luv the GA Peaches.

Until Next Time…
