The Scene: More Pictures From BET Hip-Hop Awards Official Post Party W/ @TheMansionElan + Faith Evans Parties @ Havanna Club TONIGHT!

Published by Gyant on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 10:30 am.

Checkout some more pictures from Club Mansion. Like I told you all yesterday Furious Entertainment, along with Botchey Entertainemnt held it down for the BET Hip-Hop Awards post parties.

I had a witty write up to go along with all the pictures, but my computer died and all my info was lost. Anyone who knows me knows I hate repeating myself so I guess we’ll just look at the pics. LOL!

Maybe it was for the best seeing as though AG Entertainment was going to get it pretty bad. Oh well. Look below for more pictures via Club Nation.

Diddy doing what he does best. There’s an old saying that says the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Again #imjustsayin.

Rick Ross smoking and drinking. Clearly there’s no weight loss challenge in sight. #imjustsayin

Keri Hilson looking rather hot. I like her image these days.

Busta Rhymes enjoying the scene.

How the hell did Angel Lola Luv get in. Are we still doing her? Literally??

And just because I’m such a nice guy, and y’all my people’s, I’m gonna put you onto yet another hot party that goes down each and every Tuesday night here in the city. Botchey Entertainment and my most favorite girls in the world over at Music Business Politics Laura and Hannah bring you Faith Evans.

Don’t say I didn’t hook you up.

Until Next Time…

The Scene: @Themansionelan Brings Out @IamDiddy @RickyRozay @MissKerriBaby & More For Official BET Hip-Hop Awards Post Party!

Published by Gyant on Monday, October 11, 2010 at 5:33 am.

I told you all last week about the off the hook party for BET Hip-Hop awards. While every promoter in the city was resorting to old school street tactics to promote their various parties praying to stay in the black, Club Mansion made out like a bandit, or so I hear.

While tons of parties were filling up my inbox, I already knew where my post party destination was going to be, and boy oh boy was I right as rain. Furious Ent along with Botchey Entertainment joined forces to bring Atlanta one of the best post award show parties in quite sometime.

Diddy and his newly found protege Rick Ross picked Mansion over their usual mundane AG Entertainment party house Velvet Room, who I heard lost a lot of money on Drake’s after-party last week, but that’s another story for another blog. Contrary to popular belief Compound ATL was NOT the official after-party for the BET Awards. Club Mansion held that title down all their own! Silly rabbits tricks are for kids.

There’s rumors swirling that Diddy and Alex Gideon [owner of AG Entertainment] are through [they've been here before so don't expect it to last], and Diddy is hell bent on showing the Gideon’s that they don’t have the party on lock in this city. And what a night to do it as Mansion was so packed with thousand of paycheck ballers, and Diddy and Ross shut it down. No literally!

Keri Hilson, Sean Garett, Mike Epps and others were also spotted in their various VIP’s.

Club Mansion Elan was so packed that the Dekalb County Fire Marshall eventually came and shut it down. Thankfully enough for party-goers this wasn’t until the venue was scheduled to close anyway. But don’t you just LOVE those type of parties?

One of the fastest growing DJ’s on the planet DJ Tephlon stepped up to the ones and two’s and rocked the crowd in a way I haven’t noticed any other DJ in the city of Atlanta master in quite sometime.

You already know Ludacris’ Conjure Cognac was the official cognac of the night. Many BET employee’s were struggling to keep their composure as the premiums spirit worked its way into their systems. Too funny to watch.

Anyway if your still not on Club Manion you need to be. They’re here to stay. Gyant on BET blog supports any and everyone who is on the come-up. With time and a little hard work I believe Mansion Elan could divert all the people over their way rather then schlepping it all the way out to Chamblee, GA. #imjustsayin

Keep The Peace or Cold Feet? Young Jeezy Denies Any @RickyRozay Beef

Published by Gyant on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at 8:52 am.

Clearly some phone calls were made from the higher-ups at Def-Jam because the oh so hyped beef that’s been slowly simmering between rappers Young Jeezy and Rick Ross is quickly trying to be put [back] on ice.

MTV caught up with Jeezy to explain himself on his new diss track “Death Before Dishonor,” and here’s what he had to say:

It’s not a dis. First of all, I’m not gonna get nothing out of dissing that guy. That’s one. What am I gonna get out of dissing him? I think sometimes people can read into things too deep. They trippin’, man. They crazy out there. Basically, if homie takes that as a dis, he’s insecure, and anybody else out there who does, they are insecure.

Um your honor I’d like to present to the Hip-Hop Court Exhibit A:

“Got damn hoe/ You got dem massive titties/ might as well roll with me/ to Magic City.”

Who the hell else in hip-hop got massive man boobs? I’m not throwing shots. It’s an observable fact!!

The defense rests.

What I find more interesting is how we the media still report on these “beefs” with any real journalistic integrity. Artist have become so calculated. Who’s to say both parties didn’t set all this up from the jump. #whenwillwelearn

Def Jam vs Def Jam: Young Jeezy Drops “Death Before Dishonor” [@RickyRozay diss track]

Published by Gyant on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at 10:06 am.

And here we go again. Only I don’t think I’ve witnessed two artists on the same level publicly beefin’ in a minute.

Perhaps Young Jeezy is salty at fellow label-mate Ricky Ross’ surge of success — especially after the former correctional officer dropped the controversial “BMF” featuring Styles P, which name checks Big Meech, the Black Mafia Family leader known to be close with Jay Jenkins.

Last night in the wee hours of the morning, my inbox was flooded with multiple links to the new diss record out of camp CTE called “Death Before Dishonor.”

[Listen To Death Before Dishonor Here]

Jeezy went in pretty hard on this one I must admit. From talking about Ricky’s extra -large male breasts to shooting down Ross’ supposed inflated connection to former crime boss Big Meech.

How you blowin’ money fast?
You don’t know the crew
Are you part of the fam?
S**t I never knew

The song is pretty hilarious. The older I get, I find diss records so high school. If you got something to say to me say it to my face. Don’t run into a recording studio to say what you got to say.

Kept the lights on in Visions
N***a, Alex know
Made him famous
F**k you think they call him Alex for?

Anyway, pop the hood to see what Ricky has to say about Jeezy’s sudden lyrical interest via MTV.

The Scene: @RickyRozay In-store Meet & Greet + Gotti’s Plan To Prevent Usage of “Teflon Don”.. “Hey, Be Yourself.”

Published by Gyant on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 10:38 am.

Ricky Ross does an in-store for the fans in an effort to promote his new album, “Teflon Don.” The homie Thaddaeus of Exclusive Access was front and center to get Gyant on BET some exclusive shots.

Ricky loves the ladies. Look at the booby autograph Ross put on a fan. Or maybe this was an overzealous stan who security needs to keep their eye on.

Ricky showing the kids some luv.

Are we really co-signing kids buying “Teflon Don”? Oh who am I kidding.

But for those fans who are rushing out to cop Ricky’s new album, it looks like those who have it might walk away with a piece of history.

According to NY Daily Times, Ross is trying to snatch another infamous crime boss’s name, and the family aint having it:

“Teflon Don” was mob boss John Gotti’s nickname. Now it’s the name of Miami rapper Rick Ross’ new album.

And Gotti’s grandson’s got a bone to pick.

The Miami rapper should have gotten the okay from his family first, Carmine Agnello, 24, told the Daily News Tuesday.

“My grandfather paid his dues for that nickname. That was my grandfather’s life,” Agnello said.

John Gotti was dubbed the “Teflon Don” after winning acquittal after acquittal in the 1980s. He was finally convicted of murder and racketeering in 1992.

“He should have asked for permission. A standup, respectable guy would come and ask ‘If I could use the nickname,’” Agnello, who is trying to launch a music career under the name Carmine Gotti, said of Ross. “I think he’s a great artist, but you can’t just start calling yourself that to sell records …He wants to go for that whole image, but hey, be yourself.”

We all know he can’t do that, now can he. There’s no money in truth as it relates to Rick Ross’ career. I’m just sayin.

The Gottis’ gripe is also my own. I find it hard to believe in an MC, who’s in a business that’s supposed to be about keepin it real, whose entire story is fiction. I mean, we all know it’s b*llshit to a certain degree, but never have I seen an artist’s tale be so blatantly misleading, and still have a career.

But I digress.

The Scene: @V103ATL’s “Car & Bike Show” Coverage [Video]

Published by Gyant on Monday, July 12, 2010 at 9:59 am.

This year the V103 “Car and Bike Show” came and went. Diddy stopped through to be a diva. Dirty Money still looks like they need some work. Rick Ross showed up draped in Sean John, naturally of course. And some rappers got us all thrown out of Diddy’s ciroc luxury lounge.

Check below for the pics.

Sean “The Pen” Garrett and DJ Infamous.

Monica with her boyz. Isn’t she beautiful?

Dondria Nicole blessed the stage. And I hear she’s the opening act on Monica and Trey Songz tour.

Pleasure P showed up in great spirits.

Tionna Smalls, Gyant and Monica.

B.O.B. showing a little fan some love.

Ciroc Luxury Lounge.

Cassie and Dirty Money’s Dawn and Kalenna

Big Boi doing his thing. Oh and thanks for that, sir.

Gucci Mane, and his gut made a “secret appearance”

Souljah Boy slid on through.

As you all know we here at BET are still involved in a bitter war with youtube.com, thus I can’t post the video that I got from the weekend. But thankfully there’s Gyantunplugged.com, where you can log on and watch the V103 hillarity.

Until Next Time…
