Though Richgirl has disbanded, one of the most fabulous and dedicated musical stars from the group Brave is trucking on with her own movement. With her blond hair and perfect pitched pipes ready for mainstream success, Brave wanted to stand up and speak out regarding the negative energy and non-acceptance that continues to infiltrate young minds.
Her new song “Break Me Down” is a new smash Brave recorded for her fans who are currently in the struggle. From the historic remarks of President Obama emerges a song of hope, and inspiration to be more Brave, and not let it take you down.

Shouts to the homie Nick Love. His new ATL realty series “ATL Bite Life” continues to build momentum. With a perfect blend of Hip-Hop and food, “ATL Bite Life” a guilty pleasure for myself.
Per ATL Bite Life:
In this clip, Verse talks about being classified as “Jamaican” even though he’s really from the Virgin Islands, why it’s okay to feed your “Boo Thang”, and his songwriting and production credits with his partner Sham aka Sak Pase (also a good friend of mine) including the hook on Jay-Z and Kanye’s “Who Gon’ Stop Me” (one of the standouts on the Watch The Throne album).
Good food and good conversation!!! Ya’ll need to tell these folks to put us on Food Network or Travel Channel ASAP!!!

While I know I’ve been out of commission for a minute, still recovering from that damn Luda Day weekend, Ken Ford’s people shot me over some exclusive behind the scene’s coverage courtesy of Rebel Star Media & I Rock Brands. If you all don’t know, Ford is killing the Jazz game in more ways than one with not only the #3 album in the country for his fantastic jazz album, “State of Mind.” And his new music video takes a departure from the typically stale out of touch visuals that accompany most Jazz musicians.
Come along as Ken and his band — along with Rebel Star Media & I Rock Brands– takes on a tour of the vision behind of “State of Mind.”
Brand new video drops 9/12/2011. Are you ready? Personally I love it.
Shouts to the beautiful brown sister the world is discovering to know as Asia Bryant. Often times considered to be a, “breathe of fresh air,” Bryant is hard at work promoting her brand new EP, “Analog Girl Digital World.”
Asia is rapidly making a serious name for herself in the Atlanta, GA area and beyond. Naturally we were the first to show Asia some love. But it’s definitely warming our hearts to see her gaining momentum in the world of music.
The Charleston SC native is back with a brand new video from the now released EP project. In the video you can see Asia show a much more sexier side. I mean the boobs alone had me foaming at that mouth –and that’s saying a lot given my genetics.

Shouts to Hennesy and ANTM turned reality star, and spokesperson for Lady Hennesy, Toccara as she parties the night away friends and fans Friday night. Gyant on BET.com was special media invite, however due to a lost wallet, I couldn’t get over to the festivities soon enough.
I hear the drinks were FLOWING as Hennesy’s top mixologist, Jordan Bushell put it down with all kinda juices and berries in the revered cognac brand.
Luckily enough for us Thaddeus McAdams from Exclusiveaccess.net was front and center for a quick one-on-one interview with the budding TV diva as she talks about Hennesy of course, her new reality gig “The Ultimate Merger,” and much much more.
Special shouts to Camille Binder of Hennesy for the special invite. It looks like a good time. That damn Vawn & Super Producer Jazzy Pha, as well as R&B Singer RL of 1990’s group Next were also in the building.
Watch the video above of Toccara trying to play coy about her new show, some atmosphere b-roll and more.
Shouts to Camille Binder for the amazing look, and special invite.

Waka Flocka is opening up about last week’s police raid, which occurred at his Henry Co rented estate.
If ya didn’t know, Gyant on BET.com was one of the first media outlets to put you all onto the surprise [not really] police incident, where authorities descended down onto Waka’s home looking for “gang related Intel.”
Reports also suggest that Juaquin Malphurs aka Waka’s homie Gucci was caught up in the drama.
The “No Hands” MC stopped through “The Jenny Boom Boom” show out of Connecticut to explain the situation. Listening to him tell it, you’d think he received a citation for disturbing the peace and NOT for guns and gangs:
On reports police were searching for info relating to gangs -
Waka said he is a rapper not a gang banger. That would be hustling backwards.
On Gucci Mane -
A day after the incident. Waka wasn’t sure what happened to Gucci Mane. He couldn’t answer questions about whether Gucci was handcuffed or released.[Watch Video Here]
Yea he didn’t really have much to say did he? Is anyone surprised? The question looming over his padre Gucci Mane’s head is whether he was arrested or not? Nobody knows for sure.
What is known is that he definitely wasn’t processed through any jail house, but several of my trusted sources confirmed independently to me that he was in fact put in shackles for a moment. But never one to let a little arrest get in the way, Gucci took to the stage over the weekend just to show you all that he’s good. And you know the homie Thaddeus McAdams was in the building to bring you an exclusive birds-eye view.
Check it out:
TMZ.com received photos of the raid, which you know I’ve got for you. And personally I can’t tell if it was an actual raid or if perhaps Merry Maids were stopping through for an estimate to clean up what appears to be one big sh*t hole.

Picture it. Nate Walka and his band surprised some Gwinett county skateboard enthusiasts with a high-octane performance. But watch what happens when talent and music come together.
Let’s just say the police were called. Watch the video above. Rockstars are not made they are born. #imjustsayin
Some would have never belived it if it wasn’t captured on video. And luckily enough for us Thaddeus McAdams of Exclusive Access was there with the camera.

Remember rapper Nelly? Barely? Well you wouldn’t be alone. Once upon a time Nelly aka Mo to his friends used to be that dude to sit a top of the charts with his southern delivery and catchy hooks. However times have changed. And it seems that he is no longer a priority at his record label that he once was. And he’s not happy about it.
Nelly’s new album “5.0″ was dropped recently, and though the project already has a huge hit single [don't ask me the name], the album itself isn’t fairing so well with consumers. The man who people closest to him call “Mo,” took to his twitter page over the weekend to blast Universal for what he considers to be a piss poor job on the marketing and promotion of his album.
Here’s what he ’s saying:
A record deal is a 50/50 partnership! As an artist its your job to provide the record company with music that they can sell!
Thing about the partnership is that in the public eye the responsibility is not 50/50! The artist is always the one who catches 90% of the blame. When a artist doesn’t deliver sufficient material they gets [their] budget cut for next album or worse dropped from the label!”
“So whose fault is it when a artist gives the label not only a #1 hit but their first top40 #1 in label history! Sell 2mill n singles n 2.5month?
“Who should be held responsible wen an artist has a history for selling records…but if folks say they didn’t even no wen the album came out?????”
“Every1 luvs da album and say its crazy! So wen u hear folks say they didnt no it was out r there were hardly any in the store! WTF?”
My how the tables have turned. I would side with Nelly if I haven’t personally witnessed other artists get ‘f-ed’ over over the “Nelly” phenomenon of yesteryear.
What do we think. Is it the label, or is Nelly not realizing his position in the game?
I’m just asking a question people. Don’t shoot the messenger. Buy the way don’t cry for Nelly Argentina because he’s still a multi-millionaire. I mean technically he could’ve hired his own marketing team to ensure his album did well. #imjustsayin.
I interviewed Nelly a couple of years back for Gyantunplugged, which you can find on Comcast on Demand. It was quick, because of Jermaine Durpi’s limpin ass Big Bob [anybody know if he ever got that leg fixed yet?.
But it was still funny when I tried to remind him that he has fans. Although if I'm judging by record sales maybe I Nelly has become as trite as Apple Bottom jeans. Check at 4:25.
