And I ask BLACK Americans, to all give AMAERICA, and the part of WHITE Amreica, that VOTED for a BLACK MAN for President of the United States; please give AMERICA credit the **(PRAISE)** for doing some thing RIGHT! And REV AL SHARPTON and JESSIE JACKSON, you guys also have to give AMERICA, some credit for electing a BLACK MAN as President of the United States.

I think he is going to do his best to improve our economy. He is going to try and help everybody whether you are black white or hispanic. Barack is sincere about working for America. He wants to turn America around for the good. I am a white man I voted for Barack because I think he will do a better job than Mccain would have. Barack will do more for victims of disastrous storms. George Bush didn’t help the victims of Katrina as much as I think Barack would have. I’m not throwing Bush or Mccain under the bus but Barack is the man to change America for the good.

Im really happy that obama is the new president. But we all have to realize that it is not all about color. If thats the reason some of you voted then you should be ashamed. im real glad he black,but did you hear some of his views? Martin L. King wanted us to forget the color barriers. Its about coming together as Americans in the United States of America. I feel we do have a brighter future, but in order to be helped you have to help yourself. White people as well as other republicans are pissed because blacks, & other middle -classed people are about to come up. We have to act like we got some common sense, its alot going to change and i pray all for the good. Obama has gave other black people hope. Little black boys now know that anything is possible. Its a great feeling to have Obama as a president! Like young jeezy said, MY PRESIDENT IS BLACK! It really cant get no better than that.

I am in the mind to just bask in the glory of this momment and recognize the achievement of this individual. I feel as if they thought it should be different for this highly educated black man. I know that race is such a divisive thing in America. Hell, I am black and poor, so I have seen it first hand. It is good to see one of our talented and effective speakers reach the highest office in the land. I think it means that we have a advicate in the Oval Office who can more directly see what’s going on in the world from the perspective of the poor. I know that he isn’t from the ” Hood ” by any means but due to his political affiliations and honestly his choice of bride, I am encouraged to believe that he will effectivly change the world to examine the famine and poverty in my community. I mean Bagdad is bad but we have people starving and dieing on Main Street, USA everyday. I hope that his agenda includes the plight of this america. I pray that the rhetoric be more than hollow promise. President Obama has the potential to change the discussion in the media and guide policy decisions it is important that we put the pressure on the local politicans to vote the same agenda and take direction as well as leadership from our new President.

I was surprised of the turn out. I never thought that in the 26 years that i have been here to experience things and learn everything that I know now to shape and mold me into a responsible adult. But the feeling I felt as a black person knowing of what our people had to go through just to have human rights in this country and have the opportunity to vote and know that my vote counted because the first time I voted, was in 2000 and I thought that it was not important to vote because it would not count anyway. But the turn out was wonderful and I never expected to see this in my life time. But there is change and I am excited of all the new things to come and I hope this will inspire others to be active in politics and I now there is people in heaven smiling upon us. As a country we have all been through a lot and god is in this one. peace and love
