Jim Jones Defends Hip-Hop

I tend to feel like people not keeping it as funky as they should when the camera’s on. They always take it a little bit overboard, paint pictures that really ain’t [true]. A few people made a few good points and things like that. Nelly had a few good points that he was talking about. Hip-Hop is a funny thing when it comes to making money and the way we’re making money on our own regards and we do what we want when we want and we make more money than most Americans are making as far as being a part of this Hip-Hop genre. It’s a hard hit to take for society, to take it on the chin like that when they see these young adults, Black, Hispanics and some of us White, Caucasians and the tax bracket is retarded. That’s why you have America vs. Hip-Hop, blame [Don] Imus’ mistakes on Hip-Hop and he don’t have nothing to do with Hip-Hop. Next thing they gon blame the war on Hip-Hop. That’s just life.
