Mike Jones Ain’t Tryin’ To Hear All That

January 10th, 2008

Bottom line, ain’t nobody gonna give you nothing. Everything I got, I had to earn. And that was the same with Master P. He was telling everybody how he felt that what we doing is not good for the viewers, but he did it too to make that $100 million, $200 million he made. We on the grind trying to make it the same way. We ain’t out there saying “kill em’, beat em’ up.” We’re just making music. If they don’t like it, it don’t mean I’m finna change up what I’m doing because this is what is helping me provide for my family legally. It ain’t like you finna take your $200 [million] and give it back. That’s like me telling you I stole a Phantom and now I’m riding through the city in it, and I’m telling you go take your Phantom back, man. He made his money when he came out, in his time people was still saying Hip-Hop vs.

America. When he came out with “uh, na, na, na, na,” people was saying Hip-Hop vs.

America. But he ain’t listen to it. He had not to, to make $200 million. So now that Mike Jones is making money and people are saying Hip-Hop vs.

America, I ain’t trying to hear you. ‘Cause I know I help out the community. When people always say, oh hip-hop, why don’t we see more artists like this or like that. Okay, when you check Soundscan, they ain’t moving no units. So if all y’all saying what y’all saying, why y’all ain’t help them go platinum, triple platinum. You wanna talk about Young B, but Young  B sold 5 million. “Nah, man. We don’t like Young B, we like him. Why we don’t hear more artists like him?” Okay, then go buy him two or three million times, then you gon’ start seeing more people like him. I think people be contradicting themselves more than they know.

I implore all parents to read this incredibly simple blog with their children and school them in the process. He is telling you flat out that he does not give a YOUKNOWHAT about the negative effects that his glorification of immoral and dangerous behavior could have on children and fans as long as he is making dough.

Kind of mirrors the position of a drug dealers doesn’t it?

“AS LONG AS I BUY AND DISTRIBUTE SEVERAL DOZEN TURKEYS EVERY NOW AND THEN IT’S ALRIGHT FOR ME TO POISON THE MASSES!” That sound about right?

BLACK PEOPLE PLEASE PRINT THIS ONE OUT AND F**** THINK FOR ONCE-THESE UNGRATEFUL BASTARDS DON’T GIVE A F*** IF WE LIVE OR DIE JUST LIKE MASSA!!!

STOP SUPPORTING THOSE THAT DON’T LOVE YOU, PLAIN AND SIMPLE THESE NEGROES MAKE SURE THEY KIDS GOES TO PRIVATE SCHOOL WHAT ABOUT YOURS???

SAD TO SAY “IF U WANT SOMETHING MESSED UP LET A NEGRO GET HIS HANDS ON IT”, THIS IS WHY HIP-HOP IS TRASH.

Comment? Reading this should be enough. Good Lawd, I got a headache just attempting to read the thing. The problem is…he’s got a dang good stance! It’s sad to say, but this is what I’ve been saying all along. “Who is buying this crap?” The ones that profess to always playing it, at least around here, aren’t buying it, it’s bootlegged. So why are all these units being sold if no one wants to listen? I know I don’t buy it, and don’t allow my 17 YO son to buy it either. His friends get their’s off the computer. He’s just up-front about it!

I totally agree with the comments above But master p does have some nerve talking that crap about music and rappers today when he was the first rapper and i use that term very loosely, to start this useless country lets rap about anything to get that money rap back in the mid 90s. Maybe if master p would have rapped about something better and that really meant something in the mid 90s then maybe most( not all) of the rappers today may have had some real shi# to spit about !

Master P “grew” into the artist he is today. Even he said he was wrong for using the word and for some of the imagery he did. I have been kind before in the past, young folks. But unfortunately being “Black”, you have to grow up and be more responsible than other young folks from other cultures.

Yes, we all know the whole deal of rappers ain’t leaders. We all know they are not supposed to be role models, etc., etc.

But I am here to tell you, you did not choose to be a role model or a leader. You also didn’t choose to be “Black”.

You may not want to be a leader, but you are “Black” and with that “Blackness” comes a tax on your behavior and your beliefs. Yep, you ain’t free, but that was never “Black” people’s fault.

The older generation failed to explain this to you. We screwed up, but now you must succeed where we failed. And if you do not find a way to correct this, nobody will.

fwd to NOW. We often forget our roots. In music, life in general. Alas, creating; having a hunger and talent for genres of art, makes it Oh so difficult with the forum of media, execs, skeptics following a dream, so we become the has beens and the hopefuls scared to approach it. No body is the best{hence, award ceremonies} or anything that resemble stating the best of. Art, music, fashion. Mostly targeted and sent to death for there’s no support. The industry has changed. Main stream co’s are nearly extinct, while electronic practice is trend. How can we end or start a true grits stabilized situation, where artists can feel comfortable with concentrating only on their talent without feeling the business. a&r, producer(s) record execs, true components that garner the business of music. Music needs business, regardless of all the new technological savvy. We get so dollar deep and miss the true criteria of the total pool of business. Music necessity. You may have an artist with all the front stuff, going grammy strong yet the next year——faltered. Leave the house of music and the world of music is silenced. True answer. Get back to where we once belonged

Don’t try to change what others do, change what you do. What happened to people raising there own kids. Would you let a complete stranger raise your kids, after all rappers are complete strangers to you and your kids. If you don’t want your kids to listen to that type of music, don’t allow them too. And teach your kids right from wrong and what other people say won’t influence them. I mean what were rappers talking about when you were young, probably the samething. Maybe even worst, NWA, Ice-T, 2pac, Biggie, Snoop, etc. Also let those people make money to change their future and their family’s future. That will be alot less poor black folks in this world. And educate yourselves, find a way to make money to take care of your family. And oh, fyi, rock music talks about the samethings, it’s just not as popular and blacks are not profiting off it. Hip-Hop vs America,Lol. Think about it, who runs America. Blacks or Whites? Peace.

People are so quick to pass judgment and criticize others. But they’re slow to judge themselves. No one makes us do what we don’t want to do it’s your choice on how you raise your children and how you feel about America. You buy and invest in things you think will benefit you or make your home a happy home. The rich and famous is no different we are all born and raised differently and made different it’s your choice to make good of what you do in life. “We have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function”. That is a quote only so few will catch and understand.
