Rhymefest: Election Day Ignorance
November 4th, 2008
Rhymefest reveals election day ignorance…in his own family!
“The Ignorance Within”
As I run through LaGuardia airport rushing to Chicago for election day, I’m realizing that my fight for Barack this year is not with a McCain/Palin supporter, or even myself—I participated in early voting. My fight for Barack Obama’s place in history lies within my own family.
On Halloween night, my daughter’s mother (baby’s mama) sent me a picture of her in the VIP section at the club dressed as a sexy nurse.
However yesterday, when I asked her what time she was going to vote her response was:
“I don’t know…it depends on if I can get some gas money or somethin’ to get over there.”
I was like AW HELL NAW!! How the **** you gone be able to get to the club on Halloween night in your slutty nurse outfit, but can’t figure out a way to get to the damn polls to vote for Barack Obama?? That’s some ghetto ass sh*t!
To be fair to her though, I was met with this response: “When you send me some goddamn money for this baby, then worry about what the **** I do at the polls!!”
So today, not only am I flying to Chicago to give her some damn money for the baby, but Barack has raised the bar enough for Black men in America for me to grab her by her head and drag her to the polls–and she better be registered!! Or it’s gonna be some domestic abuse kicking off in Chitown!!
For your viewing pleasure, here’s my daughter’s mother in her Halloween costume:
Hopefully she won’t mind. After all, she did take this picture in the club. Everybody saw it anyway.
PS: I will continue to send you pictures, updates, and posts throughout the day of my Chicago ghetto mess.

Good for you Rhymefest. As a BLACK MAN and as an American, WE need to get ourselves together as BLACK MEN and BLACK WOMEN. We need to understand that VOTING and POLITICS do matter, and realize that the people that get elected, effect what happens in our COMMUNITY. That is why BLACK people need to E-MAIL or write their LOCAL representatives, and tell them what they need in their communities. Go to CONGRESS.ORG and type in your ZIP CODE to find your local representatives.
Wake up BLACK people! Educate yourselves! Open your MINDS to other things. Motivate yourselves to do POSITIVES things in life and for YOUR PEOPLE!

She has a right to ask for money fool. As for Presidential endorsement. During the last 8 years of Bush, my sons still got feed, graduated high school, and are in college now. If we still want to still act like NI&&ERS, then it doesnt matter who is the president. Obama or McCain. Remember, we have kids in schools with black principals, and they still drop out, EXPLAIN THAT !!!!!
I’ll explain it. Black schools can have black teachers or principals but if they’re not motivating kids to want to be there then what does color mean. Parents have to instill education in the kids early on. My daughter is five and for fun when she ’s bored she’ll ask for a workbook to play in. Not a game system. It’s what YOU put OUT at home and the friends your children have that will help shape their educational futures. I know from experience. No one in my family had attended nor graduted college until me in 1995. But in 1991 all of my high school friends planned to attend college, which in turn made me want to attend also and not be left behind. Our influences definitely come from the home and friends. Keep a positive family life and try to keep positive people around your children. Most importantly INSTILL EDUCATION EARLY. As foor Rhymefest enlighten that sister. Don’t shame her or embarass her. Show her and guide her. Question what is important for her children’s future. Make her think. Then give her ass $5 to get to the polls next time. Or have a friend take her.
Opportunity for our community is not going to fall out of the sky. Get ya hustle on. Knowledge is power!!! Hope this helps someone. http://www.bestbuywholesalelist.com
