702 Member Orish Grinstead Dead At 27

Orish Grinstead of the R&B group 702 passed away this Sunday (April 20) from kidney failure, according to Realgossip101.com. The singer was the twin-sister of Irish, and one of three members of the Las Vegas-based group who spawned R&B hits such as “Steelo” and “Get It Together” back in the late 90s. She was only 27.

i heard the news when i was cathcing up on some of there music on you tube. man thats crazy. r.i.p. moma and to my fellow fans we need to pray for her soul and her family
i dident even know this until i read the utube post, thats sad. I remeber her brieifly..yes i was a 702 fan since the subway duet
I had the pleasure of meeting Orish in 1999 702 was on tour with Brandy, and Orish was in concert replacing one of the girls who were pregnant… Had back stage passes and took photos with 702 and Brandy.. Sat in the 3rd row of the concert… Good times, those ladies were rasied in church and knew GOD!!! Im sure Ill see her again on that great gettin up morning RIP GIRL!!!!!
I’m so sorry about Orish passing. I’ve just found out a couple days ago. I’m upset that the media didn’t acknowledge her passing ….702 stay strong….
This is very sad news. I have always been a fan of 702, and I saw them in concert a couple of times when their 2nd album came out. They always put on a great show, with great vocals, nice moves, great stage presence, and NO lipsyching. Also, I remember them being 3 very attractive young women. It’s always sad to hear of someone dying at such a young age, but when it’s someone who you’ve seen in shows, and whose music you’ve been listening to for years, it’s even more sad. You know, I never even knew she had been ill. They had not been in the spotlight for a while, but I had assumed her and the other girls of 702 were out performing or working on another album. My sympathies go out to her family and friends. It’s a terrible loss.
I just found out about Orish while going through some 90s videos. RIP Orish and we’re blessed to have been able to experience your music, even if it was only for brief moments at a time.. And i was just telling someone how much I loved the original members of 702…but I still love 702!!
Orish is a weird name, but I’m sad that she’s dead.Orish, you’re not alone.Your sisters,family, and friends still have you with them in their hearts forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

R.I.P Orish god obviously needed another angel my thoughts and prayers go to 702 members and family & friends.
I think 702 should continue as a kind gesture for her or at leat dedicate a new album to her.
