Boy I tell you, I’m keeping a low profile when I head out to LA on Sunday because The Thirty Mile Zone will probably catch me doing something absurd like what Mr. 17.5 aka Young Jeezy just did. According to TMZ, ATL’s #1 Trapstar was apprehended this morning in Atlanta, GA for driving under the influence.
Authorities picked up Jeezy at around 2:30am on a flurry of charges which included DUI, speeding, reckless driving, no tags, driving with an open container and no proof of insurance. Again, I don’t know if these celebrities think they’re untouchable or what, but they have to start maneuvering a lot smarter so simple ish like this doesn’t happen.
Jeeyz, whose real name is Jay Jenkins, was released this morning and is due back in court July 17.

UPDATE: Jeeezy is now stating his tags were obsolete from his vehicle due to a recent visit to the car wash. And the open container in his cup holder belonged to the other passenger riding shotgun with him. Check back with BET.COM for more details.
