B.E.T. You Haven’t Heard This: Alicia Keys- Sleeping With A Broken Heart

I’d NEVER break your heart, Alicia….Alicia Keys could do no wrong in my eyes. Seriously. From top of that fresh do to the bottom of those pretty pedicured toes, Ms. Keys makes my heart sizzle. And I haven’t even BEGUN to talk about her music and how it makes me melt at any given chance.
Recently, Ms. Keys announced her return to R&B with her forthcoming LP, “The Element of Freedom”. Since the announcement, the project, and this is by her own merit, was pushed back from its original December 1st release date to December 15th.
Critics claim the push back is in result to her lead single, “Doesn’t Mean Anything” failing to spark an initial buzz for the project. Alicia states otherwise, “Luv having the freedom to create beautiful music, so I’m pushing the album back to DEC 15th. So many more amazing songs!!!”
With that said, Alicia took the liberty in liberating the “TEOF”’s newest offering, “Sleeping With A Broken Heart” to the masses yesterday evening. The Jeff Bhasker produced cut embodies the emotion of a broken spirit engaged in a fresh break-up from their significant other. It’s almost like Alicia is PRAISING the tyrant that broke her heart.
Surprisingly, the tune’s edgy soundscape gives the track a completely different feeling from what you probably envisioned. Looking at the title, you’d probably assume this would be a ballad ready to be soaked in tears from remincising of your own broken-hearted memories. I digress- sorry.
