I was so excited to go to the mall and pick it up after work today, but now I just noticed its not being released until next week in Canada. I dont know why record companies are doing this lately. It was the same thing with Jill Scott’s CD I couldn’t even buy it on itunes on release day. Anyway I will be at the store Mar 4th to pick it up. She’s one of the only artist who I will by an actually copy and not itunes. Love Erykah!

I absoluetely love Erykah Badu! I have been her number one fan since she hit the scene with Baduizm. I copped the New Amerykah last night and I am enjoying all of it thus far (sorry you have to wait Janine). I still haven’t listened to it in its entirety but I LOVE all of her music. She’s the realest and truest. She is true to herself, which is so important in the entertainment industry. I love #2, The Healer. I agree with Janine, Erykah is one of the few artists whose CD is worth buying. Too bad Lauryn Hill hasn’t been putting anything else out, so Erykah is one of our few hopes!! Mad props to Miss Badu, I will always support her!

I purchased this Cd, and even though I am an avid Erykah Badu fan, I must admit it is different. She is so special and unique, you have to have patience to understand her music. The track titled Me is so deep, you have to read the words to understand it. It does bring light to a lot of issues though, so go cop that. Also it seems as though she will be coming out with another CD this summer. Enjoy

I am totally feeling and loving this cd. I also love the track “Me” a lot, but I enjoy the entire cd. You must listen to the words people, read the lyrics. It’s deep and I love it!!!! I bought it the first week it came out and I’ve been listening to it over and over ever since. I also think it’s very clever of her to put “Honey” at the very end and not even list it on the cd cover to make people listen to the entire CD and not just buy it for “Honey.” Keep it up Eryka, I love your work girl!!! Keep uplifting us as a people and awakening our consciousness!!!!! WAKE UP BLACK PEOPLE!!!!!!!
