B.E.T. You Haven’t Heard This: Trey Songz

Brand New Status…..So today, Trey Songz emancipated a new tune called “Brand New”. I can’t put my finger on A.) Why I’m so unsure of the track, B.) What direction he’s heading in, and C.) Will what he’s trying to accomplish make him a more relevant figure in the R&B realm (not that he’s not, but will it take him to the next level).
I guess since Trey’s gearing up for his third album, “Ready,” which is said to be released this summer via Atlantic Records, it’s only right we get this street single right about now.
Judging from Trey’s stats, his commercial success is gradually increasing with each album. Promising placement on the Billboard Charts for several singles from each project, a BET Awards nod for Best R&B Male Artist in 2008, and a Grammy nod for “Can’t Help But Wait” in 2009.
Will “Brand New” generate the street buzz he’s searching for or will it stall out and lead to an impeccable amount of album delays? Take a listen and SOUND OFF!!!!!

Trey,Omari,Mario, Bobby V & Llyod (as much as I love him) wont be around or relevant to much pretty soon. If your name aint Usher,Chris Brown, Neyo or even T-pain the future in music does not look bright and thats saying alot because Usher is slipn’ and Chris Brown is tripn’ but there still the top black males in the game.Guys like Trey are just “fillers” untill the better artist come out with thier albums.
Well, imo, CB and Usher’s spots are currently available. They better step up! Song is just okay

I am from the UK and I have just discovered Trey Songz and I think he is a talented singer.

He has a rich tone to his voice BUT he is not very exciting to watch performance wise. I am a Chris Brown fan and I was shocked when I discovered that these two came from Virginia and got into the game at the same time yet Chris Brown blew up.

Ava is kind of right, Omarion, Mario and Lloyd are already over. I personally think Usher is over too. Ne-yo is nothing special, he lacks the looks or charisma that Trey and Chris have.
Chris is the Prince of R&B/Pop but with his legal problems Trey has a chance to steal his spotlight.

i think personally that trey songz will always be in. well in my heart that is he is really talented and has alot of patential if he comes out with a new album it will be hot and he will be back on the top ten.
Hayyyy, I’m from London age 29. Myself and my sister went to see Trey Songs perform at the o2indigo and the after party and he was great to watch and to hear live, it was like listening to his Cd. He is a talented singer with a unique voice, he’s handsome and even better in the flesh, so cute, he’s not lacking anything for me to listen to his music because as a fan that’s all I can do. It was a bit hard to get close to him at the after party but just as his bodyguards started to move of with him there was open space so I grabbed his bum, which felt really good. Really I would have been happy with a picture of Myself and Trey Songs (Tremaine). Well until he comes back to London I will be looking and thinking back on the memories that I have. Trey You seem like a beautiful person inside and out, I love your music, You will always be in the spotlight for me no matter who is number one in the charts Don’t watch anyone just do you. YEAPP
