Bow Wow Signs With Cash Money Records

Ummmmm, ok……So if you’ve been following Shad Moss’s career for the past 12 months, you’re well aware of his musical movements. If not, let me catch you up to speed;
-April 2009: Bow Wow retires from hip-hop claiming he’s achieved everything there’s to achieve. Bow states acting is now his primary focus.
-June 2009: Bow pleads with Columbia Records to release his contract freeing him to move about the industry as a free agent. Chatter of Bow’s return to music has begun.
-July 2009: After 2 months of hibernation, Bow announces via his Twitter page that he’s returning to hip-hop. Though he doesn’t confirm nor deny his next place of residence, he does insinuate offers from several major labels are on the table.
-August 2009: Bow Wow, again, announces via his Twitter page that he’s now a proud member of the Cash Money Records imprint. With this, Bow joins Lil Wayne, Baby, and the rest of the Young Money (Nicki Minaj, Drake, Jae Millz, Shanell) imprint.
Ok, so now that you’re caught up with the foolery- what do we make of Bow’s new situation? Is this a viable choice to an artist that’s already abused the inner workings of a major label throughout his entire career?
Cash Money/Young Money already houses a stable of artists ready to hit the ground running, but what does that mean for Bow Wow’s placement? Will he become a priority among the batch of restless talent? Will he play his position and wait his turn?
Another interesting fact, Omarion is also signed to Cash Money/Young Money family- I wonder what that means? While I’m not here to pour salt on Bow’s parade (congrats young man), I’m extremely curious what the future holds for this kid.
