Celebrating Tupac Shakur……

September 13th, 2009

tupacA Hip-Hop Icon…..Today marks the 13th death anniversary for what many consider to be the greatest rapper to ever touch a microphone. Tupac Shakur was 25 years of age when his life was tragically snatched on the Las Vegas strip in 1996.

I could sit at this desk and type for DAYS about the legacy Tupac Shakur left in the world of hip hop and music in general for that matter, but anyone involved in the culture should be well aware of what Mr. Shakur meant to hip-hop.

Earlier today, VIBE.com emancipated part one of their lost interview with Tupac Shakur. In the clip, Pac discusses where he’ll be in 20 years, the misconception of representing the westcoast, and his influence on New York City.

After watching the clip, it’s quite clear Pac had some emotions bottled up towards NYC and hip hop. The emotions aren’t to be conceived in a negative tone, just clarifying a few things. And if you know Tupac, you know he was extremely passionate about any and everything.

Before leaving this post, slide down to the comments section and give me your favorite thing about Tupac Shakur. Personality, music, mental mind frame- whatever….just let me know something.

Sincerely

Low “RIP Tupac Shakur” Key

Tupac’s remarkable talent can never be denied. He had so much talent even he couldn’t contain it. Still miss him.

I loved Tupac because he spoke about real stuff in the streets, government, society……My favorite song is “Brenda’s Got A Baby”. Wow!!! He was an activist and very much a brilliant man. He spoke the truth and no one will ever be able to top him.

I am disappointed in the hip hop community for letting this 13th year just breeze by without paying tribute to one of the greatest rappers of all time. He deserves to be recognized with much regard and respect and i ALWAYS show love regardless of what the rest of the world decides to do. RIP PAC!!! You are surely missed here but never absent from my heart and mind.
