First Listen: Mariah Carey- Obsessed

MY GOD!!!!!! (To the picture, not the song lol)Sighs. Ok so listen, I just got word Mariah Carey unleashed her new single, “Obsessed” to the masses (yea I’m late, SUE ME).
I remember VIVIDLY several weeks ago Mariah debuting the cut at IDJ’s Spring Collection gala (the night I almost lost my head lol). And though I couldn’t really digest the cut, it sounded pretty solid to me.
Fast forward to this morning. The Tricky Stewart and The-Dream track ends up in my inbox, but of course I overlooked it since I’m attempting to juggle 67 million other things.
So, instead of me boasting the “BET You Haven’t Heard This” banter in your face, I’ll go the “First Listen” route instead.

00: 03- Damn Eminem, you’re going to let her talk to you like that???? HA!
00: 25- Wait, is that Auto-Tune????
00: 44- Did she mention Weed? Yeah, The-Dream definitely wrote this.
00: 47- OOOOOOO SH*T did she just say, “you be poppin cause you get it poppin?” Ahhhhhhhhhh Damn, Mariah is holding no punches.
01:13- C’mon Mariah, you really didn’t need the Auto-Tune…I swear you didn’t.
01:45- Oh this part is god awful…GOD AWFUL.
02:15- Since she’s already married and “happy,” doesn’t this seem like she’s OBSESSED with Em or am I bugging?
02: 30- Beat super pretty simple. Dope nonetheless.
03:00- I swear the song is solid, but that Auto-Tune “Uh uh uh uh uh” ish has to be removed.
03: 26- Ahhhh, now that’s the Mariah I like. Exercise them vocals babygirl.
03: 52- Is that a bird in the background? Dope tune Mariah, but that Auto-Tune ish better not surface EVER again. Your legendary status doesn’t warrant that type of laziness.

well haters the song speaks for itseft.Mrs. Bruno aka Eminem thought he
could lie with cheap publicity and get away with it? nay he should
think again.He can come again ,MCC is always ready cause you are
rocking with the best.
By the way for haters who think they can sing and know much about
music,donot forget that America Got Talent is on ,we need to see your
talents not behinde the computer,come out to the public.
Nice ,nice ,and bravo MCC. Those that keep auto tune in thier ears is
thier problem cause we are jaming it .its a hit baby.

It’s Hot! Ppl, this is not the 90s idk why ppl saying, “Auto-tune?” This is a new era in music. Music will always change in different time period, so get use to it. Besides, this is summer so we’re going to need some SUMMER BANGERS/ANTHEMS.. Anyway, #19 hit for Mariah, watch out Beatles…
This song is definitely not her best. Mariah is the last person that needs to use auto tune. Im a MC fan but she don’t want to get into a battle Eminem. He truly is the rapper alive and he will demolish MC in a feud. Im just saying this is not Mariah’s style at all.
This song sucks — Auto Tone!?!? Mariah is losing the little voice she had..she sucks and always did and will.

Auto-tune has proven once again Mariah’s voice is deteriorating. As far as the melody goes: this is just lame and dull.
