He’s not selling because everytime he shows up to a venue, he has a girl on his arm. Women (and girls) like to believe in the “fantasy” that he’s single and possibly, that they one day have a chance–even if they don’t. Once he realizes this and stops showing up to EVERYTHING with a girl by his side, he’ll start selling.

well i think that he is not sellin cuz everyone is hatin on him and how he came to the top so quick. me personally i bought his album and i love it. He has everthing any other RnB singer has so why wont people buy his cd. Plus so wat if he gota girl, that dont mean that u gota stop buying his music

I thought every ablum he came was bomb! He should have sold way more than he did. Maybe it wasn’t the right time to release it. No matter what I’ll Keep buyin his albums

I believe the reason Trey is really selling is due to the fact that most folks don’t buy cds anymore when they can simply download their favorite song offline and or buy it bootleg on the corner for $5 dollars…Sad, but true.

well if that were true why is alicia keys,chris brown,beyonce selling ALBUMS lik crazy. I mean the reason I dont buy his music is cuz even though his songz iz good itz not lik his vioce iz all dat.Plus I dont ever see him anywhere he needs a good manager to promote his stuff better cuz alot of OK singers can still sell well look at ne-yo,rihanna!!!

I love Trey, but I think he is not promoted enough. He can actually sing, he is fine, what’s missing?…Adequate promotion/marketing. I hope he gets it.

I love Trey and both of his CD’s as well. I agreee that he doesn’t have adequate promotion/marketing. Hopefully, this upcoming tour with J. Holiday will give him the exposure he needs. Although Trey is talented and has what it takes to be a successful artist I think his lack of universal appeal is the reason why his sales are not as high as similar R&B artists like Chris Brown, J. Holiday, Ne-Yo, Rhianna, etc. It seems that he has a strong fan base among the African American community but he doesn’t reach a wider audience. Afterall, this post is on BET not MTV, VH-1, etc. and when was the last time you saw Trey perform or do an interview on a televised show like Tyra, Ellen, Jay Leno, etc. or another show that doesn’t cater to an African American audience. Hopefully, people will stop hatin’ on Trey and he will get more recognition!

i think that he jus need to be promoting his music better, but other than that he is doin his thang and trying hard to sell. he always showin up everywhere and trying to connect with his fans yea they do say we love him but do they really? i went and bought his album and i loved it so i think every trey songz fan should go and get one

I have both of his CD’s as well. I do agree that he needs to get out more in the public, also I think that the radio stations can also help to push his Cd out to the community. Trey can also help by asking his fans about other songs on his CD that they would like to hear played on the air way. I really enjoyed his first CD because some of the songs had a good meaning to them, like the song (from a women’s hand) I think this song should have gotten some air play. That song hit me hard because like Trey my father wasn’t around to see me grow up, I know that there are a lot of guys that can relate to this song like I did.

I’m a big fan of Trey’s music and I would have to agree with Andrea on her comment about adequate promotion/marketing. But I still don’t understand why it’s such an issue that he has a girl. How can he ruin these your girl dreams when its their dream and may never come reality. Instead of not showing support because he isn’t single, we should show support towards good music. Something he seems to know how to do.

I honestly believe he isnt selling because with Trey he’s just so down to Earth and people wanna see more of a thug image right now. I mean the younger R&B acts(like Chris Brown) are selling to the teenagers really so if Trey wants to sell more he has to make himself appealing to the older female audience. And he needs more promo!! Personally, I think he’s an amazing talent whose extrememly underrated and it’s sad. He’s good but he needs a better marketing effect right now.

I say lose the girlfriend at the shows lol. I’m going to see him for my first time and the last thing I want to see is his girlfriend in the front row next to me. I’m there to fantasize about him, not see his lady friend….Besides that, not enough promotion in the right places. Also his people need to add more updates about him on his official website. Everyday I go, it’s the same except for one post a month…. and I want Trey all day everyday!!!!!!!

I think that trey songz is a great singer, and he can blow better than chris brown.I agree with every one else. He needs better promotion, he will have two or three videos and then will get ghost. Hell I did not even know what day trey day was dropped. He simply needs promotion!
