Mariah Carey remembers Michael Jackson…..It’s still an extreme shock to here people reminisce about Michael. It’s like a this time 3 months ago I was just listening to “Thriller” in my modular getting yelled at because the volume was too loud. But now, whenever we turn on his material, a somber mood hovers over us because he isn’t here anymore.

As the weeks and months pass, people still take the time out to reflect on MJ’s legacy. And during an interesting radio interview, Mariah (who called into France’s Le 6-9 to talk about a bevy of topics) tracked back to the days when she first me “The King of Pop”. Read what she had to say, below…

Says Mariah,

“Well we first met a long time ago after “I’ll Be There”- I did a remake of “I’ll Be There”. He told me he really liked what I did the song; he was very cool and very nice to me. Over the years we spoke a few times and I performed with him a few times in different countries and I just feel like it was such a lost for all of us because he really was a great artist. It’s very sad, but he left us with so much great music to live with forever.”
