I have too say that as a black woman who grew watching BET I am so upset with the recent coverage of our superstar Michael Jackson!! Your station is and was the leader in all news about our people, now that a major part of our history has closed his eyes, I have to watch the mainstream media for any updates.I feel that as the first station that was geared towards people of color you all should have been the first ones to break the story and have all day coverage.Michael Jackson was ours first, before he belonged to the world.BET you should step up to the plate and stop showing the videos and focus on the life of the man.We all know of the music,we loved him for it.but lets get to the real man.Have more news coverage,updates stop the bs and get on the ball.We as viewers and fans deservse more than just a view videos.

I REMEMBER THE JACKSON 5 LIKE YESTERDAY. I’LL NEVE FORGET MY MOTHER ALLOWING ME TO GO SEE THE J5 IN CONCERT AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN IN 1968/69, I ALMOST GOT TO TOUCH THEM ON STAGE. To Michael’s Mother, and the rest of his dear family,

Be encouraged that Michael is an angel now, watching over his loved ones, and he will never suffer pain or loss again. I know you miss him more than the rest of the world, because yours is more of a personal loss, However, know that your beloved son was loved by many of us. The media has never been interested in reporting the supportive comments on behalf of Michael, but BET is doing a beautiful job!
Michael was precious in spirit, loved children, as do I and so many others. It’s shameful that he was persecuted for his kindness. There was nothing wrong in bringing joy to children, and I’m sorry it was the cause of so much grief and sorrow for your boy. Michael’s desire for a little privacy was probably the cause of the negative publicity that surrounded him.

Michael Jackson is the true meaning of an ambassador of love bringing people of all ages and nationality together in harmony through his music, dance and fashion, He is the reason pop culture is what it is today. Thank you Michael for all that you’ve done to help bring people together. Rest in Peace.

I like every one else whatched MICHAEL grow up. And grow into the star that he was to become, a star that burns bright. He loved life, it show in has music, his performances, and most of all in the way he wanted to save the world from humankind. Once Barry Gordy said, “The Jackson 5 will go to the top and beyound.” Michael made that happen for all of them.
Now our shinning star the “KING OF POP’ is playing for the Lord and all of the Angles in Heaven.
My Condolences too all of his family and thank you for having had Michael, he was a big part of our lives.

I was so shocked when I heard the news on 106 and park. I thought I was hearing things and losing my mind. Michael will always be invincible in my eyes. When he performed Billy Jean at Motowns Anniversary in 1983 i was five years old. I can remember jumping up and down with excitement in front of the tv. His music is timeless. My prayers go out to his family. LONG LIVE THE KING OF POP!!!

THE DEATH OF MICHAEL— IS A SHOCK, AND IS VERY TRAGIC. HE WAS A VERY WELL LOED ENTERTAINER, MOST OF AMERICA IN MY AGE GROUP GREW UP ON HIS MUSIC.
