Neyo Celebrates Mother’s Day In A Major Way

Neyo is making sure the foster mothers of Atlanta are being recognized for their motherly contributions. This Mother’s Day (May 11), Neyo’s charity organization, Compound Foundation, is hosting a special Mother’s Day brunch for 50 extraordinary foster care mother’s from the Atlanta metro area.
Earlier today I spoke with Neyo about the event, check out what he had to say. “My foundation, Compound Foundation, is doing a Mother’s Day brunch for all the foster mothers in Atlanta. It’s just basically something to let them know we appreciate the stuff they’ve been doing. There’s no bigger responsibility then taking care of children and it’s an even bigger responsibility when you’re taking care of someone else’s children. That’s major. This brunch is for my mom, and all the mother’s that put it down for their families.”
He also credits his mother for his existence in music today “My mom is the one who put the pad and pen in my hand and told me to write it down” Neyo said. “If not for that moment, I probably wouldn’t be doing music at all.”

That is a real nice thing you are doing.My mom past away Sep.27 2005 and it is so hard for me I am lost without her,she meant the world to me and it hurts so much.So I want to say HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY MA,I miss you.Her name was Virginia Sadler,please pray for us.I know in some way she here’s me

That is about one of the grestest of the major things to do is what you did for all those foster mother. They are mother’s and major mothers to take on someone else’s responsibility and they are awesome and you are awesome. God will bless you and those foster mom out there. I am not sending a shout out to my mom because I will just say a prayer in her memory, but will say Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mother’s in the hold wide world and also Happy Mother Day to me I have one son and one grandson. I am a older mom Ne- YO but I listen to your music also your mother did a tremenderous thing by putting that pen and paper in your hands Happy Mother’s Day to Ne -Yo’s mom!!!

Thanks Ne- yo for such a thoughtful things for those foster mothers because they are mother too. A great big shout out to all the Fathers that have been a mother to their children also. Okay ladies I know it is not Father’s day but Mother’s day, but look at it like this there is father’s that been a better Father/Mother than the mother. Hat off to these Father’s that have raised their children without a mother. Happy/Mother’s Day Guys!!!
