I’m sort of a movie buff, but for the most part my flick diet consists of Netflix. Loews theaters are hardly an option.

My philosophy usually is: If it doesn’t involve special effects, get the DVD. Of course, there’s exceptions to every rule and This Is It, Michael Jackson’s new concert documentary, is an exception if I’ve ever seen one.

To go see the king of pop on anything but an IMAX screen would be borderline blasphemous. The standard theater just wouldn’t cut it. You gotta experience that IMAX surround sound, the immense screen.

As a lifelong Michael Jackson fan, it was interesting to see someone who’s already considered larger than life, somehow appear even bigger. The IMAX screen is so big, it allows you to immerse yourself into the movie. It’s like I had a front row seat watching Michael rehearse at the Staples Center. It felt like, I could literally touch the stage if I stuck my hand out.

This Is It at the IMAX is a must see. You’ll get your money’s worth. GUARANTEED!
