Question of the Day: Has 50 Cent Lost His Touch????

November 17th, 2008

Wait, not again……

Can anyone say, “Deja Vu?” If my memory serves me correct, Curtis went through this exact scenario last year; “Straight To The Bank” literally went straight in the trash and it was total amusement with “Amusement Park”. It wasn’t until “I Get Money” did Fif catch the attention of his left over advocates. “

I can’t remember the exact date or location, but I do remember Fiddy mumbling a thought along the lines of “It’s not about the music anymore” or something to that degree. Ooooooweeee, Curtis, that sure wasn’t a smart sentiment seeing how you’re beginning to suffer creatively. But, I’m not here to throw mud at the G-Unit boss, more so, attempting to figure out why Fif’s creative juices are taking so long to churn out credible material. Didn’t he also assert “Before I Self Destruct” was creatively comparable to “Get Rich or Die Tryin?” We don’t believe you, Curtis,  you need more people.

Listen, I’m just posing a simple question that’s starting to infiltrate the minds of my fellow taste makers, that’s all. I’m sure you know where I’m heading with this, so let me get to the point; Has 50 Cent officially lost his touch? Remember the days we couldn’t turn on our urban media outlets without hearing or seeing 50’s Southside mug? Are those days long gone? Where’s the mixtape material, the unofficial remixes, the self made videos, the hilarious interviews?  Hell is going on over at the G-Unit HQ’s?

Once again, “Has 50 lost his touch?”

By all means, 50, get ya guap, but don’t gas the consumer with the mere thought of your new product resembling a product we’ve all grown to love and adore. Because now, not only are throwing stones at your current offering, “Get Up”, but our pellets and pebbles will be handy once you service anything else….just some food for thought, sir.

Sincerely

Low “And that video SUCKED” Key

P.S. In the meantime, I’ll be listening to Swizzy’s new single featuring Lil Wayne…..*oops, did I say that out loud*???

Fif still got that swagg he started out wit.
everybody said they wanted to hear something other than how he came up on the southside. People need to just make up their minds about what they want to hear from this guy. I say the creativity is still there and he’s just testing out the sounds of the music industry. Though yes he should use a bigger and wider selection of artists on his albums than just him and/or his g-unit affiliates. This man doesent even need the record sales to have money and be successful because he can stop now and he and everybody in his camp will be set for life. But i say he needs to stop trying to satisfy EVERYONE’S ears and go hard like he is every 24 hours of his life. I just want something real gangsta for my ears when this album drops and best believe the rap game will be in his pocket from there on!!!!!

GGGG G-UNIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think 50 is a great artist and had great success over the years….like people said he’s heading up 2 the billions and once ur up there there’s basicly nuthin to rap about ur not in the hood so u can’t rap about that….he’s basicly rappin about his money over and over again people are getting tired of that we need fresh lyrics i think 50 could come up with sumthin…..i’m watin on a Lloyd Banks album & Emienm Album….i have 50’s albums and G-Units

I think he has let his mouth get him into trouble with his fans – he is always in a beef with someone – see Kanye shut him up!!!!

Curtis needs a wife to occupy his time. He does not need this street stuff any longer. He has evolved into a mogul, entrepreneur and business man. He made Forbes which is no small feat. I would be his wife any day.

I think 50’s still got it, he’s just not as hungry he used to be when he first came into the game… It’s some chicks (Unladylike) that’s bout to bring females back in the game. Hard!!! They won a talent search in NYC last year Music Mega Star and the talent search is coming up again. The NY 2008 talent search is soon approaching (Nov 29th & 30th) for all unsigned amateur Pop, R&B, and Hip Hop artists. Last year’s winners (Unladylike) from East St. Louis just got signed to Def Jam. You can see their live showcase for LA Reid and his A&R execs on this site (www.MusicMegaStar.com). Their debut album comes out this Spring! So 50 make room for Unladylike, crazy hot new females!!!

Its sad 2 say that people think 50 is losing his touch, how can u b losin yo touch when his last album that alot of people say was garbage sold almost 4 million copies and also there is alot of rappers out here that has sold 10 million copies with 5 albums or more 50 has done that with 1 album and a person said by him being rich he cant rap about the street wat about the america gangsters that have turned there life around that still talk about bangin and gettin money in the streets back in the day even though they changed they still have a street mindset so 50 losing his touch is outta the ? i say he stll #1 cuz u cant be outta yo touch and almost have a billion dollars

I dont think 50 lost his touch…I think hes just goin through it right now. Give 50 some time and he gonna come out with a banga come on now. I’ve been down with 50 since his underground. His first CD every song was a poppin. So just give him a chance to redeem his self. Im gonna always be a 50 fan til the death of me. TRUE STORY

As far as his music, I’m not feeling it like I was when he first came out. He’s still sexy as hell though, and HE CAN GET IT!

trina Said on

i don’t think dat 50 haas lost it 50 is just sitting back chilling waiting for his time to shine again like always 50 can’t lose his touch he’s the man on these streets

Tee Said on

Real question is whether he had it in the first place.

dameus max christi Said on

why all those people get a bad idea about 50 cent? I don’t think 5o lost his touch i think it’s normal that 50 react like he does. 50 he’s not the same man that doesn’t mean he lost his touch he still get love for the streets, don’t forget the world changes the hip hop is changing too we cannot stay anymore in the past. Now it’s time to talk about our ghetto in a different way different level, that doesn’t mean to keep talking about money, money. Hey haters don’t forget every body has it on dream, 50 has dreamed to become a millionaire, thanks God the Hip Hop has helped him, 50 he’s not a rapper he’s a creator. He could never loose his touch he knows what he’s doing.

DEMETRIUS Said on

50 hasn’t lost his touch. this is just another classic example of haterism once an artist reaches the top. no matter what he does from now everyone from radio stations to media and so call fans have conspired to knock him down a notch. if he makes tracks like get up and i get money you’ll say he aint street no more. if he makes an all street album you’ll say he’s trying to recapture get rich or die tryin so he can’t win right now. you guys will be doing the same to lil wayne next album.
