Question of the Day: Has 50 Cent Lost His Touch????

November 17th, 2008

Wait, not again……

Can anyone say, “Deja Vu?” If my memory serves me correct, Curtis went through this exact scenario last year; “Straight To The Bank” literally went straight in the trash and it was total amusement with “Amusement Park”. It wasn’t until “I Get Money” did Fif catch the attention of his left over advocates. “

I can’t remember the exact date or location, but I do remember Fiddy mumbling a thought along the lines of “It’s not about the music anymore” or something to that degree. Ooooooweeee, Curtis, that sure wasn’t a smart sentiment seeing how you’re beginning to suffer creatively. But, I’m not here to throw mud at the G-Unit boss, more so, attempting to figure out why Fif’s creative juices are taking so long to churn out credible material. Didn’t he also assert “Before I Self Destruct” was creatively comparable to “Get Rich or Die Tryin?” We don’t believe you, Curtis,  you need more people.

Listen, I’m just posing a simple question that’s starting to infiltrate the minds of my fellow taste makers, that’s all. I’m sure you know where I’m heading with this, so let me get to the point; Has 50 Cent officially lost his touch? Remember the days we couldn’t turn on our urban media outlets without hearing or seeing 50’s Southside mug? Are those days long gone? Where’s the mixtape material, the unofficial remixes, the self made videos, the hilarious interviews?  Hell is going on over at the G-Unit HQ’s?

Once again, “Has 50 lost his touch?”

By all means, 50, get ya guap, but don’t gas the consumer with the mere thought of your new product resembling a product we’ve all grown to love and adore. Because now, not only are throwing stones at your current offering, “Get Up”, but our pellets and pebbles will be handy once you service anything else….just some food for thought, sir.

Sincerely

Low “And that video SUCKED” Key

P.S. In the meantime, I’ll be listening to Swizzy’s new single featuring Lil Wayne…..*oops, did I say that out loud*???

I don’t think he lost his touch, it’s just that he is older. Every rapper that came in the game is not the some, because they get older. 50 has become a business-man. Some rappers came and gone. The Curtis album sold up to 4 million records.

Getting older is not synonymous to becoming lame. 50 is just lame (and I am not into what is popular, I prefer what is good). His song Get Up is supposed to be a party song but it is not. You don’t party to military music (which is what is sound like). Bottom line fiddy is wack and I am not judging him based on Get Rich or Die Tryin because that one is a classic and hard to top.

He’s just out of touch!. He should take up modeling like ‘Tyson Beckford’, I’m tired of him and Snoop. We need different sound, fresh face, new ideas!
AWAY WITH YOU FIFTY!

50 music isnt what it used to be only because the grit of his surroundings arent on the sideside anymore. He rubs elbows with billionairs these days so it gets hard for the public to buy into all this tuff guy and Im on some hood chit, When we know todays hardships dont really effect this man. 50 was a great artist but as history has shown us money just changes some people weather it be for the better or worse.
