Juelz and Jay-Z? Juelz gives LowKey the lowdown! With Juelz finally freed from contractual obligations to Cam’ron, Santana is finally ready to get things done, but with who is the question. Check out what the Young Diplomat said below….
“I mean, it’s nothing I’m going to embark on just because of my situation. I work with people that love me and respect me as an artist, you know what I mean? I’m not working with anyone for the namesake or because the record label thinks it’s going to be big. When I talk to Jay-Z and he respects me and wants to work with me because just he f*cks with my music, then I’ll pretty much work with anybody. As far as just hollering at Jay-Z and just reaching out, I ain’t doing any of that, nah mean. I won’t be reaching out to try and get no Jay-Z verses on my album or nothing like that. If I hear through the grapevine he wants to fu*k with me, then I’ll take that into consideration. Jay-Z is still Jay-Z. No one can sit there and tell you they didn’t grow up listening to some kind of Jay-Z. I can say things like that, because at the end of the day, I’m a real n*gga. But, at the end of the day I’m still going to do me and be everything he was, plus more, whether he’s on my sh*t or not. So, he’s going to have to deal with that, not me, ya dig?”

Wow, what the f#$$ is he talking about? Was it even necessary for him to mention Jay-Z in this interview? I like Juelz and Jim Jones, but they always make it seem like Jay-Z isn’t relevant to hip-hop when his rise to the top is something that should be respected even if you don’t like the man personally. You have to respect Jay’s hustle. And the h#$$ could he say he didn’t listen to Jay growing up when he’s from NY??? Please!! I’m from Cali and I heard Jay-Z songs.
*Another note: Rappers please stop saying “At the end of the day”in every interview. It starting to sound stupid especially when it is used wrong.*
