Remembering Aaliyah….

Come inside and reflect on Aaliyah’s career!Seven years ago (I mean EXACTLY seven years ago…August 25th, 2001), R&B American Sweetheart, Aaliyah, was killed in a tragic plane crash on her way back from the Bahamas after filming “Rock Boat”. Aaliyah was flat out an R&B legend in the making, but her journey down that path was cut short due to the tragedy. Known for her soft but distinctive vocals, Aaliyah wooed her way into the hearts of every R&B advocate across the world. Her career dons 5 Grammy nominations, 6 VMA nominations, in which she won one for Best Female Video and another Best Video from a Film for her song, “Try Again”.
If you have a favorite memory from Aaliyah, please don’t hesitate to let it out in the comments section. Personally, “Rock The Boat” was an always be my favorite track from R&B’s original princess…..IT GETS ME EVERYTIME!

Aaliyah was definitely one of my favorite R&B singers. It killed me when I heard that she died. Can’t believe that’s its already been 7 years ago since the Lord took her. She had the music you could slow dance with your woman to, smile to, make love to, and even a few that could make you shed tears. She will be forever missed

Today is the 7th year of Aaliyah’s death, she is my favorite singer and still
is NOBODY cant take her place and NOBODY cant be like her. If she was alive she will be the best R&B singer ever. WE MISS YOU & LOVE 4EVER IN OUR HEART… RIP

I have always loved Aaliyah and she is the only singer that could actually act. Her career was about to really take off…she will always be missed
