“I spoke to my father just recently about working on his album, and he was excited as though this were his first project. I want people to remember my father for the creative, soulful, inspirational force that he was to music and African American people. He was legendary and shared his genius with the world. I also want to thank all of my peers and music industry colleagues who have reached out to express their love and prayers.”
Ike is following in the footsteps of his father as a music producer who has worked with other chart-toppers like Redman, Keith Murray, Chamillionare, KeKe Palmer, Too Short, Blaque, Ruff Ryders, Black Coffey and Raz-B too name a few. Ike reached his first milestone in achieving a top hit single with Lil’ Scrappy – Money in the Bank and recently produced The Ying Yang
Ike posted his feelings regarding his father’s death on his blog – Dirty N The Beest http://www.dirtynthebeest.com: “I’m sad, I’m angry, I’m happy all at once right now. I have so many memories of being my father’s son. Little things that make all the difference. Things that help me maintain right now. I can’t be too sad though. My father did great, great things as a Musician, Humanitarian, a Father and a Black man. I’m so happy he touched and inspired so many people in a positive way. I am more proud of my father than anyone could know.”
As of right now, funeral arrangements have yet to be made, however, you can send flowers and condolences for his memorial to the address listed below.

The world would miss one of the greatest icons who’s ever lived. Issac Hayes has touched many lives and his legacy will live on forever in our hearts. For the family, always remember the old saying that it’s not how he died but how he lived and to say the least that we all are blessed to have known such a wonderful, wonderful human being. ” I’ve lost one of my best buddy and it is not easy to reckon with…………I know one can never put a question mark where GOD puts a period, so i will not question the Almightys’ decision to call him home. we all know when that call comes we all will answer……………. personally, my buddy will be missed for many reasons by me. he was “family”…………….he will be a part of my musical life each time i sing the song “deja vu” as this was a birthday gift to me from him…………his renditions of songs that i had recorded especially “walk on by” in my opinion “the definitive version” will always be another memory each time i sing it, and the humorous side that he showed few (that i knew so well).”

He was civil right leader .He is a person who the world will miss and love so deeply. His music said it all. My prayers are with his family and friends. God loves you and so do I! RIP

Myself and my family would like to say that Mr.Hayes was a very strong and a very nice man. I met him once and what I liked about him with music is that you dont have to cust to make good music he was the shaft.

I was 15 years old when listened Isaac Hayes for the first time. Yesterday my husband and I was In the Stax Musuem, I asked about Isaac Hayes and the boy who work there told me Isaac passed away. My heart broked. I’m brazilian and my wish was one day to watch his concert. But a think where he is a lot espirits will enjoy his songs, peace and harmony.
