Remy Ma Denied Marriage To Papoose, Sentenced 8 Years!

I guess it just wasn’t meant to be. Either that or Remy’s beau, Papoose, was attempting one of the most absurd jail breaks of all time. According to the NY Post, the sacred, but brief ceremony between Remy Ma and Papoose that was scheduled for Monday (May 12) was cut short when authorities confiscated in what they thought was a universal handcuff key from Papoose. Not only were the two denied marital bliss, but Papoose was also banned from Riker’s Island indefinitely.
Papoose, who denied any type of motive of planning to break out his wife to be, barked at reporters “I don’t walk to talk, get out of my face. You all write racist articles”. Remy Ma, who will now have to wait until she’s moved into maximum security at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility in Westchester County to wed her lyrical finance, will be entitled to conjugal visits once the two tie the knot.
While I’m sure Remy pleaded her guts out before her fate was decided, the Post pointed out an interesting fact in which I also stated when Ms. Smith began jibber jabbering on KaySlay’s radio show last week. Any plea she makes before the judge will probably be disregarded since she had a GREAT sense of humor during her incarceration.
Unfortunately, it gets worse. Remy Ma, whose real name is Reminisce Smith, has been sentenced to 8 years behind bars for shooting an acquaintance outside of a Manhattan nightclub July 15, 2007. Remy Ma was found guilty on assault charges in the month of March and originally was facing a 25 year sentence before today’s 8 year ruling.
Sources asserted the rapper could be seen in tears after the verdict was revealed in Manhattan’s Supreme Court this morning. Remy’s defense team plans to appeal the ruling in the near future.
Sad, sad, SAAAAAAAAAAD day for Remy Ma. Go head ladies and gentlemen, SPEAK ON IT!

Serves Ma Remy right. Who does she think she is hurting a friend b/c you thought they stole your money. And her comment to the guards “I can’t help it if my commissary is more than your salary” – be nice to the hands that take care of you. 8 years is a long time. She’s arrogant and hopefully 8 years will slow her arrogant butt down.

Young people wake up! Who gives anyone the right to take the law into their own hands. This is what is so heinous about Rap and the propagators of the art. These folks feel it is ok to violate and threaten people with great bodily harm simply because they are rappers? I strongly urge folks not to support ganster rap. Too many young blacks are losing their lives for crap such as this. Eight years is not enough. I did not know this person before this and have no intentions of supporting nor buying anything she’s put out in the past or the future.

as another lady said we all make mistakes, and we gotta suffer the consequences. And hopefully learn another way to deal with our problems. I will pray that she has learned her lesson and realize that no matter how much “status” you have in this day and age you gotta pay the price for your decisions. I hate it for her but I think she should go to jail. If Lil Kim can serve time for not snitching, she can serve some time for shooting somebody. I agree with the verdict!
She needs prayer as we all do… however she’s getting what she deserves… and THAT’s FOR REAL.

I just find it amazing how people are telling her to “keep yo head up” and that they don’t believe they gave her 8 years. People, she SHOT someone outside of a nightclub. You need to pray for the victim of the shooting and their family. Everyone knows that there are consequences to your actions. And hers is 8 years in prison. It’s what she deserves. I just suggest she uses that time wisely, so there isn’t a repeat performance once she’s released.
That which you have sowed so shall ye reap. Come on, I ain’t happy Remy going away, but that is the price for her actions. I know I can’t get off for shooting a friend, what the hell makes anyone else so special to think they can ?
Reality check here. Be humble, apologize, and maybe there is a chance for early parole
Thats crazy!!! I dont know her personally. I heard a little bit of what she spit, but behind bars not the place to be. I hope these upcoming rappers feel the pain. T.I., Lil Wayne, Remy Ma, Lil Kim feeling or felt ot going to feel and know This Not No Joke!
