Remy Ma Denied Marriage To Papoose, Sentenced 8 Years!

I guess it just wasn’t meant to be. Either that or Remy’s beau, Papoose, was attempting one of the most absurd jail breaks of all time. According to the NY Post, the sacred, but brief ceremony between Remy Ma and Papoose that was scheduled for Monday (May 12) was cut short when authorities confiscated in what they thought was a universal handcuff key from Papoose. Not only were the two denied marital bliss, but Papoose was also banned from Riker’s Island indefinitely.
Papoose, who denied any type of motive of planning to break out his wife to be, barked at reporters “I don’t walk to talk, get out of my face. You all write racist articles”. Remy Ma, who will now have to wait until she’s moved into maximum security at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility in Westchester County to wed her lyrical finance, will be entitled to conjugal visits once the two tie the knot.
While I’m sure Remy pleaded her guts out before her fate was decided, the Post pointed out an interesting fact in which I also stated when Ms. Smith began jibber jabbering on KaySlay’s radio show last week. Any plea she makes before the judge will probably be disregarded since she had a GREAT sense of humor during her incarceration.
Unfortunately, it gets worse. Remy Ma, whose real name is Reminisce Smith, has been sentenced to 8 years behind bars for shooting an acquaintance outside of a Manhattan nightclub July 15, 2007. Remy Ma was found guilty on assault charges in the month of March and originally was facing a 25 year sentence before today’s 8 year ruling.
Sources asserted the rapper could be seen in tears after the verdict was revealed in Manhattan’s Supreme Court this morning. Remy’s defense team plans to appeal the ruling in the near future.
Sad, sad, SAAAAAAAAAAD day for Remy Ma. Go head ladies and gentlemen, SPEAK ON IT!

First a foremost, God always starts with a capital “G”. All I can say is you reap what you sow. You got 8 years, now is a good time to start reading your bible, ask for forgiveness. Remy knows what really happened, and so does God, so she’s not really fooling anyone. Yes, God does forgives and I’m just thankful that she didn’t kill that girl. Why does everything have to be a race issue? People, everything is not a race issue!!!! When you wrong, you wrong! Start living right!!!

Well when u do the crime u should serve the time..She is a smart individual she should of taught about it b4 she did it..Its real bad to that its someone she knows .. They wanna live the thug life so u reap what u sow!!! To each its own!!!

I agree with Brenda 5/13/08, it leaves a bad taste in your mouth to know that remy gets 8 years but those killer cops got off, and that gentleman will never get another chance at family. We live in a very racist society and everyone can see it. If you cannot your probably racist yourself.
Will there be a day when “we” the african american society realize that America is’nt equal and justice only applies to “Just-US”, when it comes down to the negative end on the so-called laws of justice. Knowing this we must take the high road approaches at all times to how we react & respond to things and situations. We got to stop allowing our poeple to feel it’s okay & acceptable to act & be ignorant. Just becuase you are a rapper or what ever that betrays mostly a negative image~doesn’t mean you have to act like an a$$. WAKE-UP!
I support remy ma. She did the crime now she should do the time. I also feel if she should go to prison for shooting some then so should those 3 new york cops. It was the same sitution but different story. This should open everybodies eyes to what favoritism is. Same crime they all should do the time.
This is a wake up call for Remey~unfortunate & sadden but it is what it is ~~she did what she did~ she could have handle it differently!!!!.
So remey~keep your head up and utilize your time you’ll serve in a poistive manner by continuing your education & doing a restructure of your inner spirit and self~come out a better Remey then before~show the world a reformation of Remey in a positive way~ & not allow the system to mold you into a quota~~1Luv

TO be truthful i love my black people and i support them to the up most but thats stupied like another person you aint never heard of a woman black at that shoot another woman over any money knowing it wasnt as much as they say,but i think that she need to do her time and not get in any more trouble cause now she has eight years away from her children
How can so many people here feel sorry for this girl. she should have gotten more time. Who is she to shoot someone and think she should get away with it. WOW………………..Remy can get 8yrs from a bar shooting and yet 3 New York Cops get nothing after killing that young man in New York. WOW….. I had to repost this comment because that’s crazy how 3 cops can get off the hook for a brutal death, but Remy Ma get 8 years. Man, but I will say that God is not playing with us, so people be careful…
She is just to good to be in Jail, and just to good to be be going through all of, and I am know it !!. You can kill people and not go to jail, so an attempt should be probation and a fine, you think?

Everything in life happens for a reason but the truth of the matter is no matter what anyone says we all are human and if we were to put ourselves in her shoes at that instant we don’t know what we would have done….sometimes we want to knock others down. We all have done something in our life, where we should have thought about it but at that moment we didn’t and we had to pay the price….no matter how much time she got she is a human being and we all makes mistakes….the son should be the main focus in this situtation. Remy and Papoose are BOTH idiots. This clown is NOW banned from Rikers, he wants to marry her and now event hat little piece of life has been put on hold due to his stupid actions. If this girl was TRULY her friend there would be no situation about whether she stole money from Remy. This girl has moved in her circles for years apparently and if Remy thought she couldn’t get touched by this girls trifling ways- lesson learned. Don’t believe your own hype. She stole from you and your actions in turn cost you 8 years of your life and 8 years from your son. I suggest you learn from your mistakes, watch that smart mouth with them CO’s and HOPE you have some semblemce of a career when you get out – that last part is doubtful though, son. She allowed her anger to take control and now she’ll be paying for this the rest of her life and forget about whatever advance she got from the record companies- you owe them when you get out. Papoose seems to have yoru back, I hope he rides wit you for the 8 years.

You know 8 years is alot just for shooting someone and not killing them, but you got police officers that can shoot unarmed people and get away with it. Where is our justice system!
