Remy Ma Denied Marriage To Papoose, Sentenced 8 Years!

I guess it just wasn’t meant to be. Either that or Remy’s beau, Papoose, was attempting one of the most absurd jail breaks of all time. According to the NY Post, the sacred, but brief ceremony between Remy Ma and Papoose that was scheduled for Monday (May 12) was cut short when authorities confiscated in what they thought was a universal handcuff key from Papoose. Not only were the two denied marital bliss, but Papoose was also banned from Riker’s Island indefinitely.
Papoose, who denied any type of motive of planning to break out his wife to be, barked at reporters “I don’t walk to talk, get out of my face. You all write racist articles”. Remy Ma, who will now have to wait until she’s moved into maximum security at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility in Westchester County to wed her lyrical finance, will be entitled to conjugal visits once the two tie the knot.
While I’m sure Remy pleaded her guts out before her fate was decided, the Post pointed out an interesting fact in which I also stated when Ms. Smith began jibber jabbering on KaySlay’s radio show last week. Any plea she makes before the judge will probably be disregarded since she had a GREAT sense of humor during her incarceration.
Unfortunately, it gets worse. Remy Ma, whose real name is Reminisce Smith, has been sentenced to 8 years behind bars for shooting an acquaintance outside of a Manhattan nightclub July 15, 2007. Remy Ma was found guilty on assault charges in the month of March and originally was facing a 25 year sentence before today’s 8 year ruling.
Sources asserted the rapper could be seen in tears after the verdict was revealed in Manhattan’s Supreme Court this morning. Remy’s defense team plans to appeal the ruling in the near future.
Sad, sad, SAAAAAAAAAAD day for Remy Ma. Go head ladies and gentlemen, SPEAK ON IT!

I AM SORRY TO HEAR THAT SHE HAS TO DO THAT TIME YES SHE CAN KEEP HER HEAD UP BUT NO MATTER WHAT PEOPLE SAY 8 YEARS IN PRISON IS A LONG TIME THAT WOMAN WONT SEE THE STREETS UNTIL 2016 I HOPE SHE FINDS COMFORT BY READING THE BIBLE THAT IS THE ONLY THING THAT IS GOING TO KEEP HER HEAD UP AND I HOPE SHE PRAYS THAT GOD FORGIVES HER FOR WHAT SHE HAS DONE I KNOW I WOULD!!!

Not to say what she did was right but alot of people is saying that Remy Ma got what she deserved. What about the girl she shot did she also get what she deserved for stealing from someone she called her friend? Everything has to sides and would it had been different if the young lady had broke got shot in the process of taking the money from her?

Well that’s what happens when you want that street cred. Face the facts she messed up cause she didnt want to be looked at as a punk. Well look how she looks now! There is a lesson to be learned and here lies the lesson, JAIL 8 YEARS!!!

WE DONT EVEN KNOW IF SHE’LL HAVE ANY OTHER HEALTH PROBLEMS DOWN THE LINE, AND PEOPLE HAVE THE NERVE TO SAY KEEP YOUR HEAD UP, PLEASE KEEP IT DOWN AND GET SOME HUMILITY, AND GET RID OF THE ARROGANCE.
Shot a person. Not in self defense. If she thought someone was skimming the money, do it the professional way…have an investigation, sue and/or send the guilty to prison. This is not “You took my last $50, I’m a kill you!” She’s a recoring artist who should have a better hold of her finances. What if that person Remy shot was your sister or spouse? Do you think if Will Smith or Mary J thought someone was stealing from them, they would go and SHOOT THEM, ask questions later? Some of you need to check that ‘hood mentality before it gets YOU in da big house.
What about her son?
I know anger sometimes takes away your good sense, but you really gotta slow down and think before you react. I know right now she’s THINKING, I wish I didn’t REACT that way. There’s always consequences, I’m glad the victim is doing okay, but there’s also another victim, her son. She’s not only losing 8 years of freedom, she’s losing 8 years of seeing, being involved in his life. God bless and watch over both victims.
There are consequences when you act out in reality what you sing or rap about, whether it be good or bad. TI did the same stupidness and look where it got him.
Word of advice to all these rappers, sing/rap positivity and even if you act it out in real life you wont go to jail or get into trouble.

She got what she deserved; but ….. they need to issue JUSTICE the same way across the board. They let white cops get away with killing a brotha but she gets 8 years and her victim survived!
I’m not saying she shouldn’t be punished, but the disparity in punishment is outrageous! We NEED more african-americans in the LEGAL & LAW ENFORCEMENT system!!

I know this is about someone life but I couln’t not do anything but lol when one of you said this when keepking real goes bad . I don’t feel sorry for her because what she did was very cruel and stupid. The only person she needs to be worried about is God. Then you pull this, then what was you going to do run for the rest of your life, get caught and do more time. Ma grow up and be counted for you giving black women in the field a hard time. Love
