Remy Ma Denied Marriage To Papoose, Sentenced 8 Years!

I guess it just wasn’t meant to be. Either that or Remy’s beau, Papoose, was attempting one of the most absurd jail breaks of all time. According to the NY Post, the sacred, but brief ceremony between Remy Ma and Papoose that was scheduled for Monday (May 12) was cut short when authorities confiscated in what they thought was a universal handcuff key from Papoose. Not only were the two denied marital bliss, but Papoose was also banned from Riker’s Island indefinitely.
Papoose, who denied any type of motive of planning to break out his wife to be, barked at reporters “I don’t walk to talk, get out of my face. You all write racist articles”. Remy Ma, who will now have to wait until she’s moved into maximum security at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility in Westchester County to wed her lyrical finance, will be entitled to conjugal visits once the two tie the knot.
While I’m sure Remy pleaded her guts out before her fate was decided, the Post pointed out an interesting fact in which I also stated when Ms. Smith began jibber jabbering on KaySlay’s radio show last week. Any plea she makes before the judge will probably be disregarded since she had a GREAT sense of humor during her incarceration.
Unfortunately, it gets worse. Remy Ma, whose real name is Reminisce Smith, has been sentenced to 8 years behind bars for shooting an acquaintance outside of a Manhattan nightclub July 15, 2007. Remy Ma was found guilty on assault charges in the month of March and originally was facing a 25 year sentence before today’s 8 year ruling.
Sources asserted the rapper could be seen in tears after the verdict was revealed in Manhattan’s Supreme Court this morning. Remy’s defense team plans to appeal the ruling in the near future.
Sad, sad, SAAAAAAAAAAD day for Remy Ma. Go head ladies and gentlemen, SPEAK ON IT!

I feel really bad that she will miss out on eight years of her son’s life. This should be a wake up call to all of the girls who think that “being hard” is what’s up. You will have to “pay the piper” in the end. I am not going to jail for nobody. I can understand if you are fighting for your life. But, just out talking smack and you get mad and start shooting, that crap is played!!! Don’t cry now, you weren’t crying when you “popped the whistle”. Woman/Man up! Peace!!
I think ya girl should have shot remy for wearing that stupid 2 tone hair in all her video,s, nah but seriously she should have just fired her, and save herself the shame. That,s not lady like.
I don’t think Remy man will do da whole eight years. Even though she was wrong she still should keep her head up and learn from this situation. They wanna c all black entertainers or not locked up. She would have been better off just dragging da gurl down da street instead of shooting her. U live and learn

Let’s all stop barking and think 4 a second…D whole world is getting worse(there will always be shootings everyday!!!) and each one of us has to renew our relationship with God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Whites and Blacks r in prisons all over America so forget racism here…pleeeeease!!!
im all about someone who has reason to do what they do being released – getting probation – or beating the system because the system is only to protect the rich – i luv remi i really do – she is one of my favorite female emcee’s -( yes i label her an emcee, master of ceremonies, what ever you want to call it) i hate that she is in for 8 – kind of hope she gets 3 do 1 – shorten her time – but think about it – she is no better than all these brothers and sisters – black and white who are in the county jail and state prisons who felt they had real reason to do what they do or what they have been accused of doing – here we are worried about Remi – over $3,000.00 SHE PUT THAT WORTH ON HUMAN LIFE – im sure now she feels different – i wont say i would do things different – because a g is enough for me to come find you, maybe less – but come on now – you got how much in the bank ? am i really suppose to feel bad she got 8 yrs when she pulled it on purpose > for me my main concerns are my friends and family that are incarcerated for things they have done – and the things they havent – we as humans speak out on things that are in the public eye – speak out for the people who can not afford representation, the ones who hon3stly feel trapped, who’s minds have been disengaged from reality – not for a celebrity who who doesnt know your name, who yes, is going through things but is in a position of opportunity that is not a do or die position -
The thing of it is she didn’t need to go there, all that over some chump change. That’s a hell of a price to pay,(her freedom)and she acted all pressed like she couldn’t just make the money right back…….what the f!#$. She should’ve just cut the b!@#$ off, that’s what I would have done, and I would’ve just stayed fresh and partied like a rock star and ole girl would’ve been salty. Oh, well it ’s all said and done now. Remy just think b4 you act on somethin’. At least you can get some slam while in the slammer!!!!!!
I hope that Remy keeps her head up and learns from her actions. Stay up girl.
I care but my main focus is her son. I think she should have thought about what she did before she done it.

First, it should be she and her fiance, not finance. Second, I and others will pray for her strength at this most difficult time in her and her son’s lives. Sometimes art displays an ugly fact of reality.
b for real i dont believe she did nothing but as the case goes she does not deserve no eight years see thats what i mean if she was white she would have got probation but thats ok keep your head up and marry that boy he ll b there when you touch back down four years plus good behavior so bout two in a half at the most i know thats a long time considering you have a shawty but like i tell everybody put it in gods hands the truth will come out peace
it’s funny how remy got 8 years for shooting and injurying someone but the police got away with murdering an innocent man.some times i try not to believe wat is going on in this world but i have to there is no other choice.

I’m sorry to hear about that, but she thought she was untouchable and she wasn’t. But when she gets out in 8 years her new Cd will be off the chain.
Sometimes we just need to stop and think….. Now is the money you thought your friend stole worth the 8 years you will loose with you son and family? Let’s start using our head people… Life is way to short…. I hope you use this time away wisely, and connect with the Lord, cause you are going to need him–while you’re in there and when you get out…to RECONNECT with your son… God Bless!
