Remy Ma Denied Marriage To Papoose, Sentenced 8 Years!

I guess it just wasn’t meant to be. Either that or Remy’s beau, Papoose, was attempting one of the most absurd jail breaks of all time. According to the NY Post, the sacred, but brief ceremony between Remy Ma and Papoose that was scheduled for Monday (May 12) was cut short when authorities confiscated in what they thought was a universal handcuff key from Papoose. Not only were the two denied marital bliss, but Papoose was also banned from Riker’s Island indefinitely.
Papoose, who denied any type of motive of planning to break out his wife to be, barked at reporters “I don’t walk to talk, get out of my face. You all write racist articles”. Remy Ma, who will now have to wait until she’s moved into maximum security at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility in Westchester County to wed her lyrical finance, will be entitled to conjugal visits once the two tie the knot.
While I’m sure Remy pleaded her guts out before her fate was decided, the Post pointed out an interesting fact in which I also stated when Ms. Smith began jibber jabbering on KaySlay’s radio show last week. Any plea she makes before the judge will probably be disregarded since she had a GREAT sense of humor during her incarceration.
Unfortunately, it gets worse. Remy Ma, whose real name is Reminisce Smith, has been sentenced to 8 years behind bars for shooting an acquaintance outside of a Manhattan nightclub July 15, 2007. Remy Ma was found guilty on assault charges in the month of March and originally was facing a 25 year sentence before today’s 8 year ruling.
Sources asserted the rapper could be seen in tears after the verdict was revealed in Manhattan’s Supreme Court this morning. Remy’s defense team plans to appeal the ruling in the near future.
Sad, sad, SAAAAAAAAAAD day for Remy Ma. Go head ladies and gentlemen, SPEAK ON IT!

Used to be a correction officer at Rikers Island and worked with the women. I’m surprised they didn’t arrest her little silly boyfriend.That was a very very stupid move. Even if he trying to break her out they would’ve have gotten beaten down and would she have been worth it. She’s going to Bedford Hills, they’re going to turn her out, so she wont want papoose or whatever his name is. (TRUST ME). Or if not she better have a good knuckle game. These are the ones the young people look up too. What a role model. (what a joke)

THATS BS MY COUSIN SHOT SOMEBODY WHEN HE WAS 16 YEARS OLD AND HE GOT TWENTY TEARS. SO 8 WAS NOT ENOUGH I DONT CARE WHO SHE IS OR WHAT THE PERSON DID. RIGHT IS RIGHT AND WRONG IS WRONG. AND HAVING MONEY SHOULD’NT MAKE A DIFFERENCE. THE LAW IS SO MESSED UP EVERYBODY SHOULD BE TREATED THE SAME RAPPERS AND ALL. EVERYBODY NEEDS TO WAKE UP.
Real talk I think that she should go to jail. If you try and take the law in your own hands you should pay the consequences. Remy ma talked all that garbage about Lil Kim and all of her should of could of would ofs and now she has to put her money were her mouth is. Right is right and wrong is wrong. No matter who she is and what she does she deserved eight years and should have gotten more. She should be glad that it was only eight years and not twenty. Wake Remy it is what it is.
It is unfortunate that another black person is going to jail. People must understand with every choice you make there is a good or bad consequence. In this case, Remy Ma made a bad choice and received negative consequences. I am wondering if Remy Ma believed it was worth it? I pray that Remy Ma takes this time to make positive changes in her life and respect the lives of others.
ALL I CAN SAY IS PRAY AND GOD PUT THIS REST PERIOD IN YOUR LIFE FOR A PURPOSE. WHEN U COME BACK BECOME A LADY AND NOT A THUG……
rappers have to realize that they are human to and that they can do time they have to realize that before they was celeberties they were just like everyone else
I think it is interesting the kind of responses people gave to this.I just want to take the time to say that we have really grown to love money too much.Money is not that important.Our father [GOD] owns everything so we shouldn’t be concerned about money this much.I will be praying for her and the friend n people in similar situations.
She shot her friend. I am not here to judge her but I can’t believe so many people are protesting this sentence. If you want to protest something why not protest the fact that Sean Bell’s Killer’s were set free?
Dang Remy, you talk tough and rich but honestly your money is not that long as you rap. Now we see why your commissary fat? You could not afford big money lawyers to beat your case. Too bad. Hopefully you will come out better and wiser. Until then, LEAN BACK and ball til ya commissary run out.
