Remy Ma Denied Marriage To Papoose, Sentenced 8 Years!

I guess it just wasn’t meant to be. Either that or Remy’s beau, Papoose, was attempting one of the most absurd jail breaks of all time. According to the NY Post, the sacred, but brief ceremony between Remy Ma and Papoose that was scheduled for Monday (May 12) was cut short when authorities confiscated in what they thought was a universal handcuff key from Papoose. Not only were the two denied marital bliss, but Papoose was also banned from Riker’s Island indefinitely.
Papoose, who denied any type of motive of planning to break out his wife to be, barked at reporters “I don’t walk to talk, get out of my face. You all write racist articles”. Remy Ma, who will now have to wait until she’s moved into maximum security at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility in Westchester County to wed her lyrical finance, will be entitled to conjugal visits once the two tie the knot.
While I’m sure Remy pleaded her guts out before her fate was decided, the Post pointed out an interesting fact in which I also stated when Ms. Smith began jibber jabbering on KaySlay’s radio show last week. Any plea she makes before the judge will probably be disregarded since she had a GREAT sense of humor during her incarceration.
Unfortunately, it gets worse. Remy Ma, whose real name is Reminisce Smith, has been sentenced to 8 years behind bars for shooting an acquaintance outside of a Manhattan nightclub July 15, 2007. Remy Ma was found guilty on assault charges in the month of March and originally was facing a 25 year sentence before today’s 8 year ruling.
Sources asserted the rapper could be seen in tears after the verdict was revealed in Manhattan’s Supreme Court this morning. Remy’s defense team plans to appeal the ruling in the near future.
Sad, sad, SAAAAAAAAAAD day for Remy Ma. Go head ladies and gentlemen, SPEAK ON IT!

What is going on with these females? I say females because they are not women or ladies. The females these days stay in court and locked up more than the men. Why do they want this badgirl image? Treat yourself like a lady and you’ll get treated like a lady.
Treat others with respect and you’ll get respect. It is the law of the land.
No man! And I repeat! No man wants a female harder than he is on the street. And no man wants a woman that speaks profane words or lyrics in every statement, sentence and incomplete sentence that comes out of her mouth. If you” Live by the gun you die by the gun”. She deserves the time she gets. Now she has to lose years away from her child or children because of something she could have walked away from. She should have counted the cost, but since she didn’t it will cost her. Big time!
A ma all i have to say is do not give up on your self god will make a way keep praying and god would show you the right way think about your kids and family put them first give it time and the one above would lead you on love shauntika A.K.A shaypooh

I can not believe folks making these comments as though this female did nothing wrong. SHE TRIED TO KILL SOMEONE! She should serve time just like everyone else. This is not a color thing either so let’s not make it one. Yes she should try to keep her head up so she won’t bump into walls,bars and people. She should keep it down to pray and ask to be more humble.
i think that this story is crazy. Remy ma i hope you find what you are looking for in life. keep your head up and don’t let the people get you down. i don’t believe that you got eight years in jail. some many people shoot outside and they don’t get time like that. i hope that you be on good behavior like lil kim was and get out early before your sentence time is up.

Remy ma gets 8 years… sucks. I like remy ma. It’s sad people is losin they grip of reality. When you in the lime light everything you too do will be in the lime light. Get things in order,tell your family you love them, and come back replinished. It seems like justice prevaiils only when they want to make an ecample out of some one. This is a race issue yes it is b/c people dont even get that amount of time if u kill someone.She is BLACK,a rapper@ a female and white r going 2 b like that no matter what.When a situation is dealing with equality and ur black u have a problem even if u have money they will make u go broke to get b4 u can get off.They wouldnt do it 2 white people.Everyone knows that.The justice proves their racist everyday.When u turn on the tv.radio etc…u hear someone black is geting arrested or beaten but its always our fault.We have to start having some more powerful blacks in the gov. system-the only problem with that is the whites wont let us shine
All I can and will say is that Remy didn’t go about this situation in a respectful and lady like manner. She should take a look at what she is teaching not only her kids but other kids that look up to her. When you are in the public’s eye, as a black woman, you have to maintain your composure. I pray that God protects her and her kids while she is serving her time.

As sad as it is to say, I’m thankful that SHE was a victim of HER lifestyle and not one of our youth.
Sometimes we fall victim to the image that we rap about and as a strong black female she should have seen this coming. Don’t worry remy you will overcome this hard time and hopefully you will pick your freinds closely. stay up and ready big beez. Papoops is a good look. ONE!
