Age is what you make of it. Truthfully, Jay has talent, and no matter how old he is, if he still is captivating us in the same way and he wants to put new material, I support him 100%. No one says anything about groups like the Beatles or Diana Ross when they announce a new album.Age does not equate to talent and ability so I would love to see him come back and I expect to purchase the cd as well as concert tickets and anything else he’s promoting.

I agree that comparing him to Lil Wayne has gotten out of control, but I think the only reason it keeps coming up is because of the “best rapper alive” title that Weezy gave himself. Remember that the 1st time he referred to himself as the best rapper alive (Carter 1), it was followed by him saying “since the best rapper retired.” In that line, even he referred to Jay as the best rapper alive. Listen closely to the “Mr.Carter” track on the Carter 3 album. In his verse, Jay-Z refers to Weezy as the “heir” to his throne. I like Lil Wayne and I think he’s one of the hottest in the game. But the best rapper still breathing is Jay Z. I’m just stating the facts. Nuff said…
