R.I.P. Isaac Hayes 1942-2008!
According to Sheriff officials in Memphis Tennesee, R&B Soul legend, Isaac Hayes has passed away at the age of 65. Hayes, who’s best known for his work on the epic movie soundtrack, Shaft, was found unconscious next to a still running treadmill in his Memphis, Tennessee home.
Steve Shular, a spokesman for the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department, said in a statement that there was no indication of foul play when Hayes was discovered. After the singer was transported to a local hospital, attempts to revive Hayes failed and the singer was pronounced dead around 2pm.

Mr. Hayes will always be an “Music Icon” there was no else like him in the world , nor will there ever be ! I pray that his family will pull together in love , and strength!

A unique musician and a great actor as well. I really enjoyed his work with SHAFT and with the movie, IM GONNA GET YOU SUCKA. He will be truly missed. When we need inspiration and influence, Issac Hayes will be one of those names that come to mind. He is a great musical treasure and he will not be forgotten.

I listened to Issac all day on the radio and MAAN so many tears of joy, so many years of good music. He will be missed terribly. Bernie you kept me laughing and I don’t even like comedy like that. You will also be missed. Two great ICONS will live on……………..

To the Hayes family: We love his music all over the world he was truly a BLACK MOSES. The LORD gave him to us for a little while. He has his wings now and at peace. HE IS GONE BUT NEVER FORGETTEN. WE LOVED HIM

These brothers will truly be missed i mean truly missed.
On another note -i was reading the Chicago Tribune about B. Mac, and how the people of Chicago was shocked about his passing.
On the same page there were 11 shootings on the southside of Chicago.
We are losing our brothers fast to either disease, or heart attacks and we are losing them just as fast to the streets….
Please! Please! Please! wake up brothers! wake up!!!!!
