R.I.P. Isaac Hayes 1942-2008!
According to Sheriff officials in Memphis Tennesee, R&B Soul legend, Isaac Hayes has passed away at the age of 65. Hayes, who’s best known for his work on the epic movie soundtrack, Shaft, was found unconscious next to a still running treadmill in his Memphis, Tennessee home.
Steve Shular, a spokesman for the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department, said in a statement that there was no indication of foul play when Hayes was discovered. After the singer was transported to a local hospital, attempts to revive Hayes failed and the singer was pronounced dead around 2pm.

Isaac Hayes was the best, his music made you think. I was there in the 70’s when it all began. he will be missed, my prayers go out to his family.

I saw Isaac Hayes two years ago at the Capitol Jazz Festival and he still drew a crowd and his performance was outstanding, just like it was in the 70’s. I am truly grateful for having the opportunity to see him then. He will truly be missed but his music will be with us forever. May his soul rest in peace and God bless his family.
Issac Hayes was a legend and he will be greatly missed. He reminded me so much of my Uncle Eddie, May they both RIP. God Bless the family.
