R.I.P. Isaac Hayes 1942-2008!
According to Sheriff officials in Memphis Tennesee, R&B Soul legend, Isaac Hayes has passed away at the age of 65. Hayes, who’s best known for his work on the epic movie soundtrack, Shaft, was found unconscious next to a still running treadmill in his Memphis, Tennessee home.
Steve Shular, a spokesman for the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department, said in a statement that there was no indication of foul play when Hayes was discovered. After the singer was transported to a local hospital, attempts to revive Hayes failed and the singer was pronounced dead around 2pm.

This is for the people of the world – don’t grieve for Issac for he is at rest, I pray that his soul was ready to meet his maker. It’s everything to GOD to be ready for that day, for we all have that same appointment to die. I thank GOD for the talent he had and how he used it. Pray now for the family, friends, and the people he leaves. Remember, GOD is gracious and he loves us all. Make his peace and that surpasses all our understanding be with us all during this time. Hold on to GOD’s unchanging hand.

I was very sadden when I hear the news of Mr. Hayes and Mr. Mac death they will both be miss .Both men had talent that was magnificent. God be with both family.
Wow Aug 10, 2008 was my 40 th brithday and Isaac Hayes left us , thats wild 4 real . I would like for the family to keep the Lord close to their heart for with him they will get through this, this will be a day that i will never 4 get as long as i live . To his daughter let me tell you that i have also lost my father and there will be better days to come , yes you will think of him every day but in time it does get better , God bless you all .

To The Hayes Family: We are saddened by the loss of such a talented soul that gave us melodious music that catered to our every feeling.My kids love his voice for the character Chef on South Park, but they also know him from Shaft and his great music. Mr. Hayes has touched the public in so many ways and he will never be forgotten. May God hold and keep your family in these trying times of bereavement and know that you are always in our prayers.

ISAAC HAYES WAS A GOOD GENTLE AND KIND FRIEND. WHEN A GUEST HOUSE I WAS LIVING IN ATL BURNED DOWN AND I WAS LEFT WITH NOTHING. HE SAVED ME BY PUTTING ME UP IN A HOTEL. HE PURCHASED CLOTHING AND FOOD FOR ME. HE NEVER ASKED FOR A THING. I WAS AROUND HIS ON MANY OCCASIONS EVEN IN THE STUDIO WITH MANY OF HIS (CELEBRITY) FRIENDS ON SPRING STREET IN ATL AND HE WAS ALWAY DOWN TO EARTH. HE WAS A DEAR FRIEND AND I WILL TRULY MISS HIM. MAY MY GOOD FRIEND REST IN PEACE AND KNOW THAT OUR GOD NEVER MAKE A MISTAKE. WE LOVE YOU. MY PRAYERS GOES OUT TO THE HAYES FAMILY.
