One more musical great who has gone away
To Eternity’s Concert Hall to, sing and play
Leaving us here to mourn sad and lonely

I received a text message of Isaac Hayes death. It was shocking. I remember meeting my first love and the first dance I had with him was They Long to be Close to you. I would leave Va and return to DC to play that record and cry, missing my first love. Even after we became adults, we stilled played Isaac Hayes. I had a chance to see him in person twice in my life, once at RFK Stadium….the crowd was so out of control we were shot with tear gas..but that did not stop me!!! I wanted to see Isaac Hayes. I got my self together after falling in front of the stadium and saw him. I will never forget it. I saw him again for the last time in 2004. I was to attend a 70th birthday party but instead I decided to see Isaac Hayes!! After receiving that text of your death, I rejoiced by playing all of your music,. My you now rest in peace. You will not be forgotten…We long to be close to you!!! Family remember, you still have his memories. May god keep you strong!!!!

I’m very sorry to hear about the death of Issac and I am going to be sure that I keep him in my prayers

I was a little girl when I first heard Issac Hayes music to young to understand what he was talking about yet I remember my Mom and Dad Jamming to his soulful voice. When I got older and started to understand things I too started jamming to his music I am a fan of South Park and I have seen him in movies he was a multi talented man and I can’t wait to see his last performance in Soul Men He and Bernie Mac were and will always be Legends No one could ever replace them. Rest assure world he is in Heaven singing sweet melodies and God is pleased God told Issac Sunday morning you have served your purpose here on earth and I am pleased my son Well Done. Issac is singing with the harmony of the most beautiful mass choir backing him up while Bernie is making them laugh. Oh what a happy and joyful day Sunday was in heaven. Now if we America can stand up and do half of what these 2 men did in life we just might make it there to see them perform in Heaven Now wouldn’t that be Heavenly. To the Hayes Family and Close Friends You have all my prayers and thoughts
Remember God is with you always he never gives us more than we can handle. He didn’t bring you this far to leave you. So lean on him trust in him and he will see you through
