R.I.P. Isaac Hayes 1942-2008!
According to Sheriff officials in Memphis Tennesee, R&B Soul legend, Isaac Hayes has passed away at the age of 65. Hayes, who’s best known for his work on the epic movie soundtrack, Shaft, was found unconscious next to a still running treadmill in his Memphis, Tennessee home.
Steve Shular, a spokesman for the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department, said in a statement that there was no indication of foul play when Hayes was discovered. After the singer was transported to a local hospital, attempts to revive Hayes failed and the singer was pronounced dead around 2pm.

I thank God for the gift he gave us through the many talents of Mr. Isaac Hayes. I will continue to keep him in my thoughts and listen to his music because it brings many memories.
I pray that the family will embrace each other and continue to live in love, peace, joy and happiness, knowing that Isaac Hayes in resting in the precious arms of the Lord. The Lord is a Comforter and He will give you the comfort that you need in your time of mourning.

Music and comedy has been the 2 things that God has given us to help ease whatever trials and tribulations that we may have been experiencing in our lives. There have been many times in my personal life that I have used both to enable me not to take a situation too seriously. Both Isaac Hayes and Bernie Mac in their own way gave contributions that help this world become a better place. Rest in Peace, my brothers.

Isaac Hayes was one of a kind musician whose music will live forever in the hearts and minds of us who grew up listening to “Hot Buttered Soul” & “Black Moses”. That was good music, then and know.
