So Lil Wayne’s Going To Jail…..

How will this affect, well, the world…..As shocking as it seems, Wayne’s extra curricular activities were bound to side line this successful journey he calls a career at one point or another. Mr. Carter got into some heat back in 07 for housing a loaded .40 caliber pistol on his tour bus while visiting NYC for a show.
With that, Wayne has now accepted an 8-month plea deal which means an automatic 8 months behind bars. Had he not accepted the bargain, Mr. Carter would’ve faced 15 years of prisons for both counts of criminal weapons possession and weapons possession.
Wayne was informed last night that had he not entered the guilty plea by today, the case would’ve went to trial resulting in an extensive amount of jail time for the four time Grammy Award recipient. Wayne and his legal reps obviously made the smart choice.
But I’m sort of annoyed with this entire ordeal. As much pot as he smokes and codeine he consumes, I would THINK Mr. Carter had the decency to alienate himself from the foolery. I’m not badgering Wayne, but it’s like damn my dude what part of hiding a LOADED pistol on a tour bus in NYC seemed “ok?”
What makes this even more annoying is some of you fools will sit their with a straight face and approve of Mr. Carter’s gun brandishing habits. I completely understand the notion of watching your back, especially on out of town excursions. I totally digest the gesture of “Keeping it real” in the mean streets of hip-hop, but at what point will these “trappers and rappers” say, “Iiight, it’s time for some professionals to watch over me?”
Maybe it’s because I didn’t grow up in the trenches of Hollygrove Projects. Maybe it’s because I didn’t play Craps on the corner of 145th & Lenox Ave after hours. Or maybe because I didn’t make the trap say “Aye”- I don’t know. What I do know is at a certain point, things have to change and in 2007 I believe Dwayne was WAAAAAAAY past that point.
I can hear the rhetoric now, “Why you hating?” “You’re not in his shoes, so you don’t even know what he’s going through”. And you know what, you’re damn right I don’t know what he’s going through. However, I can ASSURE you Wayne’s revenue was cushion enough to hire some PROFESSIONAL security.
Does it take a situation like this for him to realize and say, “Ohhhh, so that’s why I needed a real security detail?” From the outside looking in, it’s probably an ego thing. The Best Rapper Alive and he has security? Yeah I get it, but now look at him now ; accepting 8 month plea deals during the HEIGHT of his career. I’m sorry, I just expected more out of Weezy.
Leave it to me to provide the remorseless commentary at such a difficult time, but if not me, then who else? You know what’s even worse? He’ll probably continue the aforementioned once he’s out the big house. Not trying to be a pessimist, but rappers are stubborn- it’s just that simple.
So according to a source close to the case, Wayne has until February 2010 to do whatever the hell he’s going to do. On tap, “The Rebirth” rock album, “The Carter 4″, The No Ceilings mixtape, the Young Money compliation album, Nicki Minaj’s debut album and of course Drake’s debut album. Think he can complete all that by February 2010? Let’s hope he can with PROFESSIONAL security watching his ass.

I believe that every state is target the rappers because how much drugs and liqour the rock band be having on theire tour bus. They don’t get stop coming for a concert. I think the plea deal was alright but if nerver been in jail before and they tired to stick it to him. They know he got money and they just tired him on the house. All these molester walking around the each state and killing our kids that should be there main concern and not about stickit to a black rapper , but thats our society this days. The court seem is so ~**% up today and time. They tired to give hime more than what they give a raper,molster, someone that beats on their spouse or girlfriend.

Yea, I agree all this *?#% is dumb and there alot of haters out in the world. The court system thrying to bring down our rappers and athletes also. It’s almost 2010 and these dudes are still carrying loaded guns and drugs around. I mean I like Lil Wayne,but its time for a change. “If you do the crime, Then you do the time”. There are too many of our younger generation of kids looking at these artists as role models, but all their doing is corrupting them. If you were rich like Lil Wayne, would you some of the stupidest things he’s done, especially when you know they watchin you all the time? How smart is that?
