Soulja Boy Vs. Ice T?!?!

So I was browsing the internets earlier this morning and I stumbled across a lil tit for tat grudge match between Soulja Boy and Ice-T (yea, I was shocked just like you). Now it’s come to my attention that the internet is a great forum to respond to allegations, hateful responses or just another lane to make absurd comments.
With that said, Ice-T has taken it upon himself to denounce the success of Mr. Soulja Boy himself in a brief but yet aggressive interlude on the release of an upcoming mixtape. Ice, who is an obvious Legend in this thing we call HIP HOP goes on to tell Soulja Boy to “Eat a….”! Yea, kind of harsh isn’t it. He then informs the youngster that he single handedly the art of hip hop due to his “Superman” antics. The part that made me chuckle was when Ice said, and I quote, “Man you ni**az is looking happy and sh*t” What in the hell??? Why in the world is Ice-T taking his frustrations out on Soulja Boy’s happiness? Like honestly, is it really that deep?
Like I said before, the internet is a great lane to deliver a response, because Soulja Boy went ahead and recorded his rebutal to the Westcoast legend. Though Soulja kept calling him “Old” and even asserted Ice-T was around before the first Walmart was conceived (that was funny as hell lol), he does have a point in his mini rant. If Ice-T is that upset about the quality in today’s hip hip culture, why not hop of the hater horse and alter what needs to be altered. Anyway, check out what Soulja had to say in his 7 minute response….

It’s Not Just Ice T- the whole nation is sayin the same thing bout how music just isn’t music anymore- maybe they’re not open to Hip-Hop or Rap Music becoming So Commercialized that Its Now (Top40/Pop-ular Music. hip hop or rap still lives in every ghetto round america but now Its more Played on every Pop Station in america and that Gives It A “Bubble Gum” style or sound. thats why everyone says some artist are just raping the culture! this whole beef is just a plot to move black music away from the masses because it has gotten way Too Big for the other Side to Handle\

I sort of agree with Ice-T Soulja BOY should not be categorized as Hip Hop that is silly shake ya booty music that needs to be in a category all by its self with a few other sold called hip hop artist of today. Hip Hop is supposed to be about the lyrics first then the beat, but now-a-days if you can shake to it it sells. Thank you Kanye for helping to bring back the lyrical side of Hip Hop. And for the person who said Ice-T shouldn’t complain he should do something about it, he already did his part now its up to todays artist to keep this machine called Hip Hop going and with these “superman these hoes” type of rappers Hip Hop will most certainly fall as so many have hoped for so long. Why not prove them wrong and make quality music that can still be appreciated 10 years from now!!!

Soulja Boy already said he makes his music for his peers not Adults. I guess Ice T views himself as a Teenager since he is listening and making comments on a teenager and his music.
Ice T is in an era of his own….but, the fact remains that the quality of music is not the same. even if Soulja boy is making his music for a younger audience, it is not presentable!
