Soulja Boy Vs. Ice T?!?!

So I was browsing the internets earlier this morning and I stumbled across a lil tit for tat grudge match between Soulja Boy and Ice-T (yea, I was shocked just like you). Now it’s come to my attention that the internet is a great forum to respond to allegations, hateful responses or just another lane to make absurd comments.
With that said, Ice-T has taken it upon himself to denounce the success of Mr. Soulja Boy himself in a brief but yet aggressive interlude on the release of an upcoming mixtape. Ice, who is an obvious Legend in this thing we call HIP HOP goes on to tell Soulja Boy to “Eat a….”! Yea, kind of harsh isn’t it. He then informs the youngster that he single handedly the art of hip hop due to his “Superman” antics. The part that made me chuckle was when Ice said, and I quote, “Man you ni**az is looking happy and sh*t” What in the hell??? Why in the world is Ice-T taking his frustrations out on Soulja Boy’s happiness? Like honestly, is it really that deep?
Like I said before, the internet is a great lane to deliver a response, because Soulja Boy went ahead and recorded his rebutal to the Westcoast legend. Though Soulja kept calling him “Old” and even asserted Ice-T was around before the first Walmart was conceived (that was funny as hell lol), he does have a point in his mini rant. If Ice-T is that upset about the quality in today’s hip hip culture, why not hop of the hater horse and alter what needs to be altered. Anyway, check out what Soulja had to say in his 7 minute response….

LETS B REAL……..They shouldn’t (soulja Boy) A Hip Hop artist because he isn’t the caliber of rapper. Only the elite lyrist should be called that….with that being said….I think lil dude doing his thing, but I thinks he a entertainer….NOT A HIP HOP ARTIST!!!! Hip-Hop is all about who is da best and who can handle the $%# better. So you will alwayz have beef, but Soulja Boy is out of his league messing with a legend. Com ‘on, Ice is typically better than SB.
SouLja Boy IS flat out wrong. All he do is make beats and sing about dances. I Don’t listen 2 Ice T but a legends a Legends they don’t go know where. But new comers do how long will souja boy be in dthe game for real.
Okay so I’ve read the article…what do I think? I’m going to just keep it short. Ice T: Legend Soulja Boy: A Joke. Now you ask why i said it. Ice this is not something you should waste your time with. You will always be a legend and you earned your keep. Solja boy is like an updated Sir Mix A Lot. Give him his Lime Light now so he can get money for School and stuff and let him be on his way. I just don’t agree with people even considering him to be put on te list of hottest MCs in the game. Solja boy is not an MC period. If he was put on that list, tha Ice you should have stepped up and anounced that Hip Hop is officially dead!!!!!

The east/west beef killed hip hop not a 17 yr old who’s been out for only a year. Plus the kid’s already got more sucess than ice two top ten hits and a top 20, Ice had cop killer and that was with his rock band.
One of the beautiful things about hip hop back in the day was it was diffrent kinds of rap styles. You had Run-DMC, Whodini, Ice T, LL, Rakim, Slick Rick, Fresh Prince, Public Enemy, BDP, NWA etc…
All of these artist had their styles and they stayed in their lanes and did their thing and it was great. I have my preference of styles. I like lyrics and message rap but enjoyed all of them.
Souja Boy is no different. He has his lane and he is driving in it. He may never be at Ice T’s level as far as skill and artistic expression (Colors, Six in the Morning) but Ice T should not disrepect his hustle nor should Souja Boy disrepect Ice T.
Ice T. should be the bigger man on this and apologize and give this young man some words of wisdom on how to survive more than the 15 minutes that people seem to think he has.
