Awwww, 50 Loves Diddy….. So, I emancipated the new issue of King Magazine from my secret newsstand several days ago, but I’m just dissecting the issue today (Yes, I know I’m late). Anyway, since I was stepping out to the pizza parlor for lunch today, I decided to search through the issue while I made love to two slices of pepperoni pizza (not a pretty sight, but I was hungry lol).

Of course, I drooled over the superb photography of the past 50 issues (they’re celebrating The Big 50 this issue) and decided which one I would get detained by the authorities for stalking (it’s a tie between Dollica Bryan and Porschla Coleman), but I also noticed an exceptional piece on 50 Cent written by Adam Matthews.

In the article, 50 touches on the severity of the U.S. economy, his career as an actor, retiring from the rap game, and his perception of wealth and how it’s been altered over the past few years. But before closing out, Fif also offered his perspective on who possesses the best model for staying relevant in the game. Read who he picked, below…..

50 Cent on who has the best model for staying relevant……

“Puffy has the best model for staying relevant, because he does it without a song. He’s been able to maintain an interest and stay in a space to executive produce television projects and stay relevant to hip hop culture. What was the last record that made you feel like, “Oh my god, Puffy is on fire?” You don’t need it. That’s what makes his business model exciting for me. There are only three of us to look at: Jay, me, and Puff. We have three totally different situations. We’ve just been a part of hip hop culture. That’s the similarity. I just think they’re the fire hydrant: You can’t move those guys off the street. I think they’ll still be the guys you need to connect with in the next few years to get a shot.”

Well put, Fif. Now, here’s my question to you guys: Outside of them, because I do believe there will be several others who have the ability to achieve the same relevance, who else will be able to maintain the same feat Puff’s been able to accomplish thus far??? Rappers, Producers, Singers….WHO????????

SOUND OFFF……PLEASE!

Sincerely

Low “Rest assured, I may sh*t on Puff from time to time, but the big homey handles his business” Key

Me and the HOMIES are still confused as to who the song actually belongs to, but nonetheless, the general public will devour it now that it’s being released without any DJ stamps hovering over it. Could this possibly be Fifty’s next single? Could R.Kelly be planning a major return?? Not sure, but I’m diggin this track….just a little, lol

Now if we can get him to leave this 50 Cent BS alone…… I swear, if this dude would just leave Curtis Jackson alone and focus more on his new album, “Deeper Than Rap” I honestly think he would be just FINE come March 24th. However, since his pride is plastered directly on his forehead, he feels it’s necessary to get lost in the bullsh*t.

Picking up where they left off on “Here I Am,” “On Top Of The World” pairs Richard back up with Avery Storm sans the contributions from Nelly. The tune, easily something you can two-step to, is an ode to living a better lifestyle across every platform (nothing we haven’t heard before).

I can tell you right now, if Ross removes himself from the foolery between him and 50 Cent, this might be his best album to date.

(Opera Voice) KIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAA! If I had a dollar for every time I ran through my “secret newsstand” over the past 2 weeks, my pocket’s would probably surpass the amount of Obama’s Stimulus Package (I promise you!).

Not to say Cam’s return isn’t the “Talk of the town” anymore, but with Miss Info’s two part interview over at OnSmash.Com and a recent radio interview, it’s almost like the story of his comeback is becoming redundant.

Regardless, it’s still a topic of discussion across the hip hop board. So far, Cam’s addressed issues pertaining to Jim Jones, 50 Cent, Dame Dash and Juelz Santana, all without hesitation. But in the April issue of XXL, Cam slides off into a couple different things the public has yet to find out.

Since a lot of the information in this interview has already been revealed, almost word for word, I’m going to post the content that wasn’t; the Juelz information. Not to long ago, Juelz revealed that Cam’s contractual obligations in regards to his career have hindered him from moving forward in the collaborations department. However, according to Cam, there’s a completely different story brewing under the surface….

Cam’ron on why Juelz wasn’t allowed to collaborate with other artists……..

“That’s totally false. What Juelz has to realize is this: Anytime he does something, Def Jam has to get paid. Me and Def Jam was partners, and me and Juelz was partners. If Juelz does a song with Sean Kingston, Def Jam calls and gets $20,000-whether Juelz knows it or not. If they our partners then we should get $20,000. But in these situations, Def Jam would get paid and we wouldn’t so I would say, ‘No we’re not clearing it”. Because how come they are getting the money and me and Juelz wouldn’t be getting the money? Def Jam was starting to get frustrated with Juelz because they wanted him to put an album out. They started to lose patience. He doesn’t know I told Def Jam, “Yo, no, let him do this, let him do that”. They didn’t want to let him do anything, because they want the they album. They figure, “How come he can feature on this and feature on that, but we can’t get our album?” It was plenty if times where they didn’t want to clear anything, and I told them, “No do this. This needs to be cleared”. But then it became a tug-a-war situation with certain projects, where they would be like, “Cam, we understand what you’re saying. But no, we can’t have this unless they pay us double or extra or yada yada yada.” There was plenty of times I fought for him to be featured on people’s songs. Def Jam didn’t want him to be featured on people’s songs. “

Well isn’t that an interesting tidbit of information? If this information is true, then where would that leave, A.) The relationship between Juelz and Def Jam and B.) The relationship between Cam and Juelz? Judging from Cam’s interview in this issue and his interview with Miss Info, money wasn’t the only issue that caused the two to separate.

Anyway, if you can find my “secret newsstand”, make sure you slide over there and pick up the issue, it’s a great read. Now pardon me, I have an XXL issue that I need to get lost in.

Sincerely

Obviously, this hasn’t hit the masses, and I’m not sure if it’s too early in the game to reveal such information, but a lil birdie told me several weeks ago that Compton MC, The Game, has/or will be reaching out to 50 Cent to reconcile their musical and personal differences.

Now, this debate could go either way; The Game is insane for trying to do such a thing or this might be exactly what 50 needs to become musically relevant again.

I’m unsure as to what brought on the change of heart (no pun intended, Jayceon lol), but my EXTREMELY reliable source said the aforementioned issue is valid. Clearly, neither party has leaned toward the issue, but with The Game publicly siding with Curtis during his disregard for human emotion towards Rick Ross, eyebrows were raised and heads began to turn.

Are you guys biting or do you smell publicity stunt under the stove of Jayceon Taylor. I mean, he has been quiet for a couple of months now (he’s also been touring overseas), so maybe he’s piecing together his “I love you 50 Cent” puzzle so it doesn’t backfire like the previous effort.

Now THIS is the 50 Cent I Know! After hearing that horrible response 50 issued the other night, I was honestly 15 seconds away from giving Rick Ross the “W”. From past experiences, 50 never once hesitated in destroying the careers of his competitors. Not only that, but the lethargic effort sounded forced; it wasn’t natural (even though he’s strategically planned the demise of all his arch enemies, but that’s besides the point). “Officer Ricky” showed no signs of those characteristics.

And just when I thought Curtis was down for the count, he delivers a scathing video response just in the nick of time. I thought, “Sorry dude, it’s pretty much a rap from here on out”, but that’s obviously not the case. . Not only did the 5 minute clip deliver more venom than any song he could record, it was blatantly disrespectful, but hilarious at the same exact time.

How can you say to someone, “I’m going to F your life up….FOR FUN”. Not only that, but the discussion of Rick’s correctional officer past is now the topic of discussion, AGAIN. Court documents, OUCH. Home address, OH LORD! Think I’m over stepping my observational boundaries, scroll down and PRESS PLAY. However, Fif’s continuous efforts at baiting Weezy are growing old.

Sincerely

The First Battle of 2009!Ok, so when I first caught of wind of this verbal dispute between Richard Ross and Curtis Jackson, I sort of jumped to the fences just so I could get a better view, especially when one of my industry cohorts called me the previous night and forewarned me about Fifty’s efforts. Although I was excited about the war that was unraveling before our digital eyes, it still boggled my spidey senses as to why Ross said what he said in “Mafia Music”.

Ross rapped, “I love to pay ya bills, can’t wait to pay ya rent/ Curtis Jackson baby mama, I ain’t looking for a cent/ Burn the house down,” Ross raps, referring to the “suspicious” fire at a home owned by 50 (in which his son and ex-girlfriend lived) last year. “You gotta buy another/ Don’t forget the gas can, jealous, stupid muthaf—-r.”

Whoa, where did that come from?? Anyway, I paid it no mind and figured neither would 50. Of course, I was wrong. No more than 3 days later, 50 responds with the lethargic (IMO) response, “Officer Ricky (Go Head & Try Me)”.

Now, I usually adore the disrespectful efforts from Curtis, I truly do. The “aggressive content” issued by the South Side monster is always entertaining, and the sh*t talking at the end is even more appeasing. But, all good things must come to an end. In 50’s case, an ABRUPT one.

Hey Fif, I’m a huge fan…really I am, but, ummmmmm…let’s see how can I put this delicately, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT???? Usually, in these frequent scenarios, you spit 2 bars, at most and leave the rest of the hilarious commentary towards the latter of the track.

This is the FIRST diss track I sincerely hate from you, lol. You went on and on and on and on about NOTHING. That high pitched, “Officer Ricky” was the ONLY funny part. Oh, and I’m DEFINITELY not going to discuss your cry for Lil Wayne’s attention at the end. SAD..JUST SAD!!!

Here’s the killer: During Ricky’s interview with Angela Yee this morning, The Boss said, “Oh, I heard that, but I was positive that couldn’t be the response. You can’t insult “Mafia Music” like that. We are going to act like we didn’t hear that garbage. We’re going to give you another 48 hours, take your time!” AHAHHAHHAHAH! Battle DONE!

So, after hearing both sides (sort of), Who Are You Siding With…And Why???? Does 50 stand a chance after the first effort?? Will Ross give 50 a run for his money??? Is this a bunch of nonsense??? SOUNNNNNNNNDDDD OFFFFFFF!!!

Sincerely

Low “Fifty, I sure hope you have something better in the stash, cause from what a little birdy told me it sounds like Ricky and his boys are ready for WAR!” Key

Shots Fired!
If you’ve been following 50 for the past 3 months, you probably could sense Curtis was setting up a properly timed attack against the 8-time Grammy nominated martian, Lil Wayne. Shots Fired!

If you’ve been following 50 for the past 3 months, you probably could sense Curtis was setting up a properly timed attack against the 8-time Grammy nominated martian, Lil Wayne. First, Weezy saw one of his early recordings, “Louisiananimal” slide through his paws and hit the internets. Though the track wasn’t officially released through Wayne or his camp, it only sparked an intriguing response from Curtis.

During a radio interview last month, G-Unit DJ, DJ Whookid, probed 50 about the recording in which 50 came to the conclusion that the diss record was meant to stay in the public eye since no one from Wayne’s camp reached out to the G-Unit boss or made any effort to have the track removed.

50 closed out the topic by expressing his sorrow for anyone and everyone in 2009 explaining any damage done to themselves, was self inflicted. Hmmmm, interesting. Fast foward to January 9, 2009. 50 hops in the booth and releases a scathing 2:43 response to Weezy. Clearly, the hip hop community knew 50 was ready for war, but unclear as to when and how it would commence. Well, I guess this is our answer.

The cut, which shows 50 spitting his distaste for Oprah (a usual suspect in rap rants) and Weezy’s 8 Grammy nods, also plays host to several choice threats issued to Wayne towards the latter of the tune. “And I’m on your heels Mr. Carter, I heard you”, says 50, accompanied by his signature studio echo. “You want me to die ugly? Ok. Don’t end up on the list ni**a, you’ll be a missing person like Cam’ron, like Ja, like Joe. Who wants some??? Who want it, WHAD UP???”

Be clear, this is definitely not the last we’re going to hear from Fif. Judging by the commentary, this is just a mere warning shot. I know we’ve had this discussion before, but after hearing his tone, 50 just might be too much for Weezy this go around. Thoughts????????

The Three Headed Monster Is In Full Affect! I’m honestly scared for the ENTIRE recording industry right now. To have THREE of the biggest hip hop artists on ONE track is probably the most frightening thing for the competition since S.L.U.

When was the last time you heard Em spit a verse? When was the last time you heard Dre spit a verse? Hell, when was the last time you heard Em, Dre, & 50 spit on the same song together? Unfair? Nah, that’s an understatement in regards to what they’re about to do to hip hop.

“Crack A Bottle”, which was leaked a couple weeks ago sans the vocals of Fif and Dre, looks like it’s headed towards “first single status” since Em is hard at work on his newest offering, Relapse. Despite not having a release date, Em has been working profusely on the set which will include more collaborations from the “Three Headed Monster” conglomerate.

First THAT….now THIS????? Wheeeeew, this IS the year of the AFTERMATH!
