Bow Wow is ready to give it all…….. I have to admit, after watching Bow Wow mature in front of our very industry eyes, I can honestly say the lil tyke has done A-OK for himself. Not that this video is the pinnacle of his maturity, but his mannerisms have changed enormously, so respect is in order for the homey.

“You Can Get It All” featuring Johnta Austin, however, falls short of a top 10 hit. Maybe I’m not used to Mr. Moss’s rap/sing flow. Maybe I’m seeing too much of Nelly’s style overshadow Bow’s attempt at reeling in an older demographic of tender roni’s. Or MAYBE, I just don’t like the song….hmmm, I have no idea what it is.

Dah well, regardless of what my perception may be, I have to relinquish credit for the video put together by Hype Williams; JOB WELL DONE! Bow’s new album, “New Jack City Part II” hits the streets March 31 via Columbia Records.

Sincerely

Hopefully many of the attendees in Washington, D.C. took heed to my SPECTACULAR list I posted on Saturday, especially during their time in Club Love last night. Enough small talk, Jay and Jeezy took to the stage and did what they do best. CHECK IT OUT, BELOW

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t Nelly’s sing-song/rap flow method written all over Bow’s verses? Not that it matters because the lil pup’s tune will get thrown into rotation upon its release (video and radio), but I just hear Nelly alllll over this.

Oh, this just in, B.E.T. You Haven’t Heard This has obtained yet ANOTHER Bow Wow tune entitled, “Get It In”. I swear, I’m tooooo good to you all. Shouts to Splash for the assist (NMC ALL DAY).

Best Friends Forever!

If I don’t say anything nice about these two, I must admit they definitely ride for each other to the death. JD’s molded the lil pup into what he is today and Bow’s made him a sh*t load of money, which is pretty awesome.

“Roc Da Mic” the first single from Bow’s seventh solo effort, New Jack City Pt.2, channels both JD and Bow Wow basically explaining the ins and outs of their relationship over the past 8 years. I remember several months back, both JD and Bow explained the concept of the tune, but I couldn’t find the time to get to it. Check out what both of the So So Def’ers had to say about “Roc Da Mic”.

Says Jermaine Dupri,
“The song is basically about how me and Bow Wow’s relationship went from him as a child and me creating him to growing up, branching out wanting to do things on his own. I guess me being an adult and not understanding him, I’m grown enough to say that I didn’t understand him so I couldn’t understand him wanting to go out and do certain things and him not understanding me wanting him to do other things, so we bumped heads as he got older. When he went to the project with Omarion, I basically quit that project because he pissed me off [laughs] and we had our times right then; there were other times before on a couple of other albums.”

Says Bow Wow,
“I be tellin Jermaine some ideas for like music, but he’ll try and brush it off. I’m like, ‘Yo, since people say we’re just alike, we should do a song’ and he’s always like ‘Nah, nah’. Knowing JD’s process, if you tell him something, he’s thinking of what you’re saying at that moment, but he’s not going to give you his right answer. But what he really wanted to say at that time is, ‘Damn you right, I’m about to go do that’. So later on, he called me and told me to swing to the crib and he played me the record which was crazy. I’m like, ‘Man, I told you, we should’ve been did this record’ and he said, ‘Nah, nah but this is it’.”

Awwwww, ADORABLE! Lol

Like it, Love it Or Leave it?????

Sidenote: Bow and JD recently wrapped up the visual for “Roc Da Mic” which was directed by Hype Williams and shot in Malibu as well as Los Angeles. Check out these hot photos, RIGHT HERE!

Here’s my future apology to Columbia Records for this list. Sorry (lol).

Some times it’s debatable on whether not certain labels understand the significance of online press. I have yet to grasp the notion that half of today’s music industry is STILL stuck in the Stone Age, but after experiencing my little “Beyonce interview” mishap yesterday, I think it’s become quite clear.

Though I won’t dive into logistic concerning yesterday’s fiasco, I will, however, point out that communication is incredibly vital when dealing with more than two parties. No I’m not bitter (trust me, I’m not), but when I’m sent to do a job, I usually like to accomplish that task; coming back empty handed is for the birds.

Word to the wise: offering a writer an email interview is the worst attempt in reconciling a situation. When kicking me to the curb, make sure you do it 100 percent, backtracking and offering a consolation prize isn’t good for your complexion (I kid, halfway lol). After careful pondering I felt a Top 10 would be the only way to deliver my TRUE defeat, lol.

So, without further ado, I present the Top 10 Reasons Why Columbia Records Wouldn’t Let LowKey Interview Beyonce.

Sidebar: I’ll be talking third person throughout the whole list, lol

10. I didn’t have a fancy looking camera.

9. Dondria goes in for round 2 and this time Bow Wow came along for the ride…. Let’s try this again, from the top, shall we? One day JD was on the internets doing what he does (I still haven’t figured that out yet) and came up on this southern belle who sing her little heart out. He courted her on Myspace, but she basically told him to kick rocks and keep it moving. After finding out it was really him, she got with the program, flew out to the A, and signed with JD & his So So Def Imprint.

After several months of bickering about what her stage name and album title would be, Dondria finally released her first single, “Can’t Stop”. Though the tune was an above average attempt to garner an audience outside her YouTube fan base, the consumers weren’t convinced, yet. So after heavy evaluation, JD and Dondria went back to the drawing board, conjured up some more groovy concoctions and here we are. Without further ado, I now present to you……

I’ve always heard rumors of Bow Wow receiving ghost written treatment from the King of the South and I never really believed it, but I damn sure believe he’s swiped T.I.’s napoleon complex, without question. At times, well most of the time, Bow Wizzle’s flow and content usually stays within the same lane; money, cars, jewels and honey dips. I can’t fault the young lad for verbally spilling all the joy he’s been through thus far, but on his newest offering, New Jack City Pt.2, I’m expecting another side of Shad Moss (Bow Wow)

“Been Doin This”, which sounds like a track that could serve as an album filler or a bonus cut from the project, once again, highlights Bow’s materialistic commentary, but also informs the listener, talking about drug slinging isn’t what got him to where he’s at today. Ehhhh, that was obvious Bow, but hey, whatever makes you happy. T.I. is on the track, but the TIP is only servicing sporadic ad libs throughout the song. Confused? Yeah, I am. Of course, this audio gem is brought you to you by the good folks of B.E.T. You Haven’t Heard This.

Bow Wow…HUMBLE??? Nahh….Can’t be! We all knew from the very first time we laid eyes on this young pup, he would easily develop one of the largest chips to sit on his shoulder once he grew into his fame. From receiving a co-sign at the age of 6 from Snoop Dogg to being crowned “Mr. 106 Park and dating one of the hottest chicks in the game, Bow Weezy would sure enough diddy bop through any city like his doo doo didn’t stink, lol.

But as the young pup grew, I’m assuming valuable lesson after valuable lesson finally found a way into his thick skull and assisted in the development of this mature young man we see before us today. Hell, Bow even admitted it in JD’s latest “Living The Life” Vlog (Video Blog) entry. “I had the big head” Bow admitted. “Being at that time and at that moment, from the first mishap, I felt that I learned everything from Jermaine. I had the ear for music and I felt like I knew everything”.

With that said, I felt like a Top 10 would coincide perfectly with this moment. Without further ado, I present Top 10: 10 Reasons Bow Wow Isn’t Cocky Anymore! Oh and remember, these Top 10 lists are ALLL in good fun, so please remove the “LowKey is a hater” notions from your brains, PLEASE?

10. Jermaine Dupri dresses better than him, sometimes?

9. He recorded an album with Omarion……

8. He’s too old to posses a Napoleon Complex.

7. He lost the title of “Mr. 106 and Park” to Soulja Boy. OUCH?!

6. Game tapped that ass in Madden Football within 10 minutes…..

5. He realized if he kept popping that fly ish, JD would EASILY find another light skinned kid from Columbus, Ohio to make famous.

4. Once you address bloggers, it’s allll down hill after that. And once you address video vixens, it’s REALLY downhill after that…..

3. He made a song called “Marco Polo”. Playing Peak-A-Boo with Soulja Boy in a pool full of females isn’t a good look…..

2. He got caught cheating on Ciara. You can’t posses any cockiness after that…..

1. And after he got caught, 50 Cent went and gave her a comforting hug…..with his shirt off….ON TV!

Hip Hop put in tooooo much work for Barack to lose!

While I hate to ponder the notion of Barack falling to John McCain and that other lady, anything is possible in the world of politricks. With that said, I came up with 10 things our lovely hip hoppers will say or do once that final announcement is made. Though this post is all in good fun, let’s remember that if Obama does happen to fall, we are ALL to conduct ourselves in a professional manner in public. In the privacy of your own home, I EXPECT you to go ape sh*t, but while you’re in the public eye, keep it cool…PLEASE! You already know the authorities are WAITING for us to act a fool, let’s give them an easy night.

Without further ado, I present The Top 10 Things Hip Hop Artists Will Do If Obama Loses…

10. Diddy will have an excuse to yell useless commentary into his MAC book on the 56754435453rd episode of “Diddy TV”….

9. Polow Da Don will yell, on a bullhorn, “Waint A Minute Mothaf*cka”…..

8. Jay-Z will resume charging for his concerts, which will make Memphis Bleek extremely happy since he wasn’t getting paid for all the free shows they were doing over the past 2 months.

7. Foxy Brown will claim she didn’t get to vote because she didn’t HEAR anyone tell her what time her designated polls closed!

6. Kanye West will prepare his impromptu, “John McCain doesn’t care about black people speech” at the January inauguration.

5. Young Buck will call Barack Obama crying apologizing for not supporting him throughout the election. Obama will then sell the recording to 50 thus causing him to use the audio as an intro to his next album.

4. T.I.’s sentence will be extended to 5 years causing McCain and Palin to appear on Saturday Night Live to perform their own rendition of “Whatever You Like” but renaming it to “We Can Do Whatever We Like”.

3. Will. I. Am. will record a new tribute song called, “I Thought We Could”.

2. Yung Berg will come out of hiding thinking everyone’s focused on John McCain, but then bump into Maino, Bow Wow, Trick Trick & Trick Trick’s daughter at a club in Chicago.

1. We ALL wake up and realize it was just a HORRIBLE dream. BARACK OBAMA 08!!!!!

Sincerely

Low “PLEASE TELL ME YOU VOTED…PLEASE?” Key
