Play nice, Keri…….. Let’s get one thing straight, I HIGHLY doubt Keri Hilson or ANYONE around her is foolish enough to let her engage in any type of R&Beef. Regardless of how much controversy sells in this industry, Keri tongue tussling with Beyonce (get your minds out the gutter) would be career suicide. And not because Beyonce’s response would be that lethal, but only because Beyonce wouldn’t respond at all. Especially since I haven’t heard Beyonce mention a single thing about Keri.

Alright, now that we’ve addressed that issue, on to the song. T-Pain added the intensity, Keri added the aggressiveness and Wayne added the absurdness. Yep, this is an exceptional piece of audio. Kudos to Interscope Records for finally giving this girl a release date.

Oh by the way, just got my hands on Keri’s collaboration with Neyo and Kanye West..OWWWWWWWWWWWW! Sorry, you have to cop the album to here that inferno.

I mean, even if you’re not an avid consumer of the “blue top” you can STILL enjoy the sounds of this tune because of the energy it gives off.

When I first heard they were shooting a video for “Blame It”, I seriously pondered how they were going to convey and capture the “feeling” of the song. And I’m going to tell you, I was worried a little bit lol. But after seeing Jamie Foxx, Ron Howard, Jake Gyllenhal and Forest Whitaker pull up in a drop top Rolls Royce with that sick piano intro and Hype Williams’ name pop up on that screen, I was relieved.

Anyone that knows me, I LOVE to have a great time, so this video meshes well with how I conduct myself at nightly functions. Don’t believe me, you should come out to Grace Hotel tonight at 8pm and I can SHOW YOU!

And they’re BACK! Something about seeing these two says, “OH GOD NO”, but when you hear the end product, it’s not as bad as it seems. From what I heard, the I Am Music Tour, which housed both conglomerates, did quite well on its North America excursion. I guess it didn’t also hurt that R&B eye candy participants, Keri Hilson and Keyshia Cole also graced the bill as well.

I’ve noticed that in the last 5 months, the chatter regarding their joint effort, He Raps He Sings, hasn’t been mentioned much. Has it already hit the back burner or are they just keeping it under the radar so they can blind side everyone with it when the album actually becomes a reality?

I can’t say I’m excited for it, but I’m also curious as to how the album will flow. “Snap Ya Fingers”, the tune below, probably isn’t first single status, but I’m sure we’ll see it pop up on the project as one of the singles.

You thought the other list was outrageous?????? Judging by this title, you can safely assume I rummaged through The Smoking Gun’s, Backstage write up on Lil Wayne. I can’t begin to tell you how excited I was to begin my list of foolish things Lil Weezy needed backstage for him and his goons.

One question though, when consuming assorted fruits, Gummy Bears, Dentyne Ice, potato chips and absurd amounts of liquor, is it necessary to ask for forks, spoons, knives, papers plates, ketchup, mustard, hot sauce, BBQ sauce, Salt and Pepper? I know he’s from the south, but Hot Sauce on original flavored Skittles is a little out of line. In fact, it’s not COOL AT ALL!

Anyway, I dug into my creative soul and thought it would be fun to pull out 10 key things Lil Wayne REALLY Needs On Tour. ENJOY!

10. Twitter. Instead of those inconsistent Weezy Blogs he releases every 6 months, sporadic updates via Twitter could easily keep us entertained as well as increase his word play since he only can type out 14o characters.

9. A Cameraman/Camera that streams live video footage during every waking second of that man’s tour. Imagine if we were able to watch Lil Wayne spazz on one of his flunkies for getting the wrong cough syrup. I can just picture the Lil Martian right now on NyQuil during one of his performances. Oh wait, that already happens. DRATS!

8. These! Lord knows we don’t need any more impromptu announcements of a new stash of a lil goon or goonette ransacking this beautiful thing we call earth.

7. A Log Sheet. Its obvious this guy shovels through 90 guest appearances and 180 guest backstage groupies A NIGHT, so I can only imagine what he turns down, on both accounts. “Uhh Wayne, Condoleezaa Rice is here for her 1:30 appointment”.

6. Headphones. After listening to some of the material Wayne’s delivered in the past 12 months, I honestly and faithfully believe this guy DOES NOT listen to any of the stuff he lays down after it’s recorded. Even the yes man on his team ponder saying “Nah Wayne, you might wanna try that again”.

5. HE REALLY needs not to request a “Chartered Lear Jet”. My god, Wayne? You’ve probably sold over 10 million records in your career thus far amd you’re telling me you can’t afford a jet BY NOW? Not to mention what you charge for your shows. What promoter in their RIGHT mind, in the past, has provided you with a Chartered Jet? Give me his name NOW!!! I can understand the Presidential Suite, the police escort and even the 50% cash payment upfront, but a Chartered Jet??? Negro, who you think you are, the Prince of Zamunda…STOP IT!

4. An Armored Truck. Nah, not for your money, homey…but for your material. In 2008, it’s become extremely clear that you’ve recorded more material than The Beatles, U2, Elvis and 2Pac combined. And frankly, I’m tired of hearing a new song/verse/hook every second, of every hour, of everyday, of every week, of every MONTH! I would actually enjoy you more if I heard a healthy helping of your material every other week or even month…..I prefer the latter, lol.

3. Someone to train him on metal detector etiquette. During the BET Hip Hop Awards in Atlanta, I witnessed first hand an episode between him and security and boy, was that ugly/entertaining/refreshing all in the same breath. Wayne, you’re asking for 25 backstage passes for each performance…do you REALLY think the head of security is going to just let you BREEZE past because you sold a million records in seven days?? The only black man in America that will never have to worry about a metal detector is Barack Obama and even STILL the security he’s passing through will slide him the evil eye. SMARTEN UP!

2. T-Pain. Wayne hearts Teddy. It’s just that simple.

1. JESUS!

To all my hardcore Wayne fans, this all in good, clean fun. I beg you, PLEASE do not get on here talking about, “MAN STOP HATING ON WAYNE, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH” Wanye is cool with me, but those tour requirements are just SILLY, SERIOUSLY!

Sincerely

Low “When I go on tour, all I need is a box of Apple Juice, a Bang Bang Boogie Coldstones Milkshake, my laptop and a pair of SB Blazers” Key

Jamie recently announced “Blame It” as the official second single (the video is coming shortly) and it prolly won’t help the competition that they added Busta and Weezy to the unofficial remix. Just think what’s going to happen on the OFFICIAL REMIX! OUCH!

Kanye + VIBE= Awesome WORDS! The one thing I hate about the holidays is that the publication schedule for all my favorite magazines are a bit delayed. They release their year end issues and then disappear for an extra several weeks to, dare I say, celebrate the holidays (what the hell is that about, lol).

Anyway, on my way to work, I sensed a new issue of at least ONE of my favorite magz would be up for sale and you know what….I WAS RIGHT! I remember breezing past VIBE.com yesterday catching a brief glimpse of them teasing us with some Kanye banter about how he’s preparing to grace their February issue. “YES”, I shouted as I read through the info. “I love Kanye cover stories”. However, the actual cover wasn’t ready for public viewing. DRATS.

I slid inside the newsstand (secret location newsstand, that is) copped the mag and began to eagerly rifle through the issue. “Dope. Ooooo, she’s sexy. Who the hell is that?” I said to myself on the uptown A train while while an older Caucasian female secretly peaked over my shoulder. I honestly believe she was more excited than I was. I didn’t mind not one bit because she knew I knew she was looking, so it was cool lol.

“Pride” (In The Name Of Love) read the title in black Lego font. The big homey Sean Fennessey got the honors to talk to Yeezy and I must say………GREAT JOB, SF. And since I believe I have the magazine a tad bit early (the covers not even out for Christ sake), I’m only going to hit you guys with 3 good excerpts from the piece. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. ENJOY

Kanye on being deemed a violent person because of his paparazzi experience…

“I haven’t done anything violent. They make it seem like I actually went and hit the paparazzi. I haven’t. I was restrained. I’m good at restraining myself from committing violent acts. I know how to control my temper. That one paparazzo made it a bigger deal. I just put my hand up and he felt like he had more right to my personal space than I did. I put my hand up to stop him from shooting me.”

Kanye on putting out 808’s & Heartbreak so quickly…..

“I could have put it out as a mixtape. I always wanted to do a mixtape called T-Pain Style. And I was like, if these songs are good as hell, why not put it out as a real album? And who’s to say what a mixtape , what’s an album. I aint have to drop an album either. What I do at this point is a gift. And I think people are complaining about their gift. They can either play with it or not! But don’t complain to me about the gift. There’s guys out there, nobody spoke on our behalf before. Whatever about the singing. F*ck all the singing, f*ck all the Auto-Tune, f*ck the He’s A Rapper, he’s not a rapper, he’s going through something, he has to get this out of his system, he’s crazy. F*ck all that. It’s men out there who have never had anyone to speak on their behalf about the way they feel in a relationship. We don’t feel like, ‘F*ck you, bitch, I’m going to f*ck a whole bunch of girls’. NO! We feel hurt. We feel pain. Like, ‘Damn, why would you say something like that to me? Damn, I LOVE YOU. Damn, I want to have a family. Damn, I want to find someone to raise my kids. Damn, my baby mama’s a bitch. Or she’s not a bitch’. That more than anything-more than the way I wanted to deliver this art-is the message behind 808’s.”

Kanye on 808’s being his best album…..

“I do think it’s my best album to date. No, I actually know this is my best album to date. Do I think it will be my best album ever? No, Ill improve. Do I think there are mistakes in it? Yes. There has to be. I’m a human being. But I think it surpasses Graduation. These 12 tracks are going to resonate more than any 12 tracks of any album this year.”

Ok, that’s enough. For the rest of Sean F’s exclusive interview with Kanye, make sure you pick up the February issue of VIBE Magazine when it either officially drops or if you can locate my secret location newsstand, lol!

Sincerely

Low “During this post, I zoned out to ALLL Kanye instrumentals. Damn that boy is good, lol” Key

Fall back…..just for 365 Days!

Alright ladies and germs, let’s get one thing clear, this list is dedicated to those who DESTROYED (in a good way, except the last 2 lol) 2008. This is not a list showcasing my undying hate for these specific individual(s), it’s more like a bevy of reasons on why they should take a 365 day breather so either their proteges can get some breathing room or so they can take a VERY well deserved break. I’ll keep it short and to the point, but I know a majority of you will feel the same way, so please, don’t hesitate to chime in below in our wonderful comments section that you guys LOVE to play in lol.

1. Kanye West

Despite the death of his mother and severing ties with his OH SO gorgeous fiance, Yeezy did the inevitable and took to the stage and the studio to conquer every Billboard chart and iTunes list there was to conquer. He showed us the real meaning of “Stadium Status” by embarking on a nationwide excursion as well as an international expedition for his Glow In The Dark set. Though it was incredibly hard for him at times, Ye proved he was stronger than most, but showed a bit of vulnerability on stage when he couldn’t stomach the memories of his loving mother. In that process, 808’s & Heartbreak was conceived, which argubally could be Kanye’s best work to date. If Kanye has anything left to show, it would be amazing, and since he probably does, I suggest he save it for 2010…I’m sure we’ll be yearning for another extraordinary project from the “Voice of our generation”.

2. Beyonce

As most of you may know, I HATE Beyonce….HAHAHAHHA (Some of you have NO sense of humor, I swear). Regardless of what I’ve written about the “Diva”, Mrs. Carter devoured the latter half of 2008, WHOLE. And judging by her major promotional blitz earlier last month, it’s only going to get worse in 2009. A international tour commencing in April, several movies in the works and of course MORE offerings from I Am…..Sasha Fierce, I’ll probably be suggesting Beyonce to fall back in 2010 as well. I have to hand it to the “privileged” mamacita, she knows how to get it done, but, for some odd reason, I can year Young H-O (Jay-Z) in the rear WISHING she would just sit the hell down (again, I’m just joking lol).

3. T-Pain

I was sort of on the fence about putting the Tallahassee Titan on this list, but he too is in need of a well deserved break. If I’m not mistaken, this kid was on 37 at ONE TIME??? How the hell do you accomplish that without burning out? Maybe this was the year for him to prove that ugly people can also be successful (Zing…Ok, I’m sorry). He produced, composed, and performed for just about each of his superstar friends and a majority of them returned the favor on his third offering, Thr33 Ringz, which for the most part served the industry to it’s mainstream liking. I can’t imagine the ish he has in store for 2009, but, it would be a blessing to see him just FALL BACK behind the curtains for 365 days because since the birth of the Auto-Tune, every moron with a microphone thought it would bring joy and prosperity to them as it did for him. We’ll miss you, Pain…but not that much because we have PLENTY of material from you that’ll last us until 2012.

4. Diddy

Ahhhh Diddy. Maybe his NYE proposal was his own way of telling the world he was hitting the behind the scenes market so he could focus more on his empire. But since that didn’t pan out like originally planned, his plague will now infiltrate our souls for ANOTHER 365 days (pegged as The Gift and The Curse). We all witnessed his “Diddy Blog” web series first hand, observed the inner rumblings of Danity Kane and watched him parade two beautiful baby girls in the media as if they were prized Turkey’s over the course of 2008 and oddly enough, he’s only getting started. Diddy+T-Pain= UGH! Yes, I’ll be front and center when that project hits the masses, but I’m not sure that’s the best route for Mr. OrangeJuiceInMyFruitLoops. The T-Pain collaboration train left the station a LOONNNNG time ago. Ciroc Obama (I hate that name more than Barack does himself, lol) loves the spotlight, but the real question is….how much does it love him and for how long?

5. Soulja Boy

Give it a rest kid, it’s over…for now. The Sophomore Slump slapped you harder than Maino did Yung Berg and you have YET to recover from the travesty. 46K in seven days??? Yep, it’s time for that career intervention….fast! Beefing with Ice-T was cool, but it went down hill when you decided to give Charles Hamilton a tongue lashing via your YouTube channel. Not taking anything away from CH, but tell me, how many cool points were you really trying to gain from that? Funny how that little situation hit the light several weeks before the release of your album. Come on dude, you have to be a BIT smarter than that. Don’t worry, the kids STILL love you, but step up your marketing game, we’ve heard it all before. Oh, and that home invasion thing you have going on right now….you better have a good story to follow up with that one, the world is WATCHING.

Honorable Mention

1. Jim Jones.

2. Lil Wayne (only because the sight of his face tattoos keep me tossing and turning at night).

3. Busta Rhymes (You can blame “Arab Money” for that, Busta).

4. DJ Khaled (You are the best, but only in limited areas).

5. Frankie (I could list 546546465 reasons, but I have places to go today).

6. Ron Browz (Until he translates the chorus of “Arab Money” he’s not allowed out of his studio).

Sincerely

Low “One more person to say 200Mine is going on this LIST…SUPERSTAR OR NOT” Key

In regards to the song itself, I must concur with Pain and C.Breeze’s sentiments, I looooooove a honey dip who can dance like me, if not better. Though I haven’t heard the song in the club yet, I can imagine this will be a nice lil party starter once it starts circulating throughout popular nightclubs. T-Pain + Chris Brown: SMASH HIT!

Clearly, T-Pizzle is sticking to the original video format from his last two visuals and that’s cool, but if I watch one more Syndrome directed video, I’m going to die of motion sickness. Regardless, the video is pretty damn tough. Enjoy it, below

I say this EVERY night……. *Disclaimer* I’m not an alcoholic, I SWEAR!

It’s been a minute since I hit you guys with some exclusive tunage, so I decided to start Friday off with a nice lil diddy from Jamie Foxx and T-Pain. Just to be clear, I do NOT condone the abuse of alcohol, trust me I don’t, but when I’m partying and I’m having a GRAND ol time, the title of this song is usually my choice of banter when I’m courting a cute lil honey dip.

From what I’ve heard so far, it looks like Jamie’s Lp is shaping up to be pretty good; Lil Wayne, T.I., T-Pain, Ludacris, Just Blaze, Timbaland, Kanye West, The Dream……goood stuff, Jamie.

Jamie Foxx ft. T-Pain- Blame It On The Alcohol

Like it, Love it or Leave it??????

Remember, Jamie’s third Lp, Man’s Intuition, hits stores December 16….COP IT!!!

Low “Damn, I think I’ve blamed it on the alcohol this entire week, lol” Key

It’s The Remix……YIKES?!?! I love the invention of the remix, trust me I really do, but sometimes that ish can be extremely overwhelming. Earlier this week Busta and his BUDDIES released a video of them competing for the best verse on the remix to “Arab Money” (I get sick every time I mention that title). After watching the clip, anticipation started to trickle through my fingers. I thought, “hey, this might not be that bad. I don’t understand one word of the chorus, but I just might jump on the bandwagon”.

And then it happened; it was RELEASED….and, dare I say, I liked it. I can’t, nor will I try, to convince you this is the best remix of ‘08. However, the All-Star line up did entice me (Flashback to Craig Mack’s, “Flava In Ya Remix”). Regardless of how much I like the song, I still can’t stand the original version. Sorry Busta! Anyway, enjoy this Thanksgiving treat while I head upstairs to devour everything and anything that comes within arms length.

Sincerely
