Could it be????? In the midst of allllll of this foolery and fuc*ery, something positive has been emancipated from the rubble of bullsh*t.

Obviously, this hasn’t hit the masses, and I’m not sure if it’s too early in the game to reveal such information, but a lil birdie told me several weeks ago that Compton MC, The Game, has/or will be reaching out to 50 Cent to reconcile their musical and personal differences.

Now, this debate could go either way; The Game is insane for trying to do such a thing or this might be exactly what 50 needs to become musically relevant again.

I’m unsure as to what brought on the change of heart (no pun intended, Jayceon lol), but my EXTREMELY reliable source said the aforementioned issue is valid. Clearly, neither party has leaned toward the issue, but with The Game publicly siding with Curtis during his disregard for human emotion towards Rick Ross, eyebrows were raised and heads began to turn.

Are you guys biting or do you smell publicity stunt under the stove of Jayceon Taylor. I mean, he has been quiet for a couple of months now (he’s also been touring overseas), so maybe he’s piecing together his “I love you 50 Cent” puzzle so it doesn’t backfire like the previous effort.

THOUGHTS???? Go head…LET’S HEAR IT!!!

Sincerely

Bow Wow…HUMBLE??? Nahh….Can’t be! We all knew from the very first time we laid eyes on this young pup, he would easily develop one of the largest chips to sit on his shoulder once he grew into his fame. From receiving a co-sign at the age of 6 from Snoop Dogg to being crowned “Mr. 106 Park and dating one of the hottest chicks in the game, Bow Weezy would sure enough diddy bop through any city like his doo doo didn’t stink, lol.

But as the young pup grew, I’m assuming valuable lesson after valuable lesson finally found a way into his thick skull and assisted in the development of this mature young man we see before us today. Hell, Bow even admitted it in JD’s latest “Living The Life” Vlog (Video Blog) entry. “I had the big head” Bow admitted. “Being at that time and at that moment, from the first mishap, I felt that I learned everything from Jermaine. I had the ear for music and I felt like I knew everything”.

With that said, I felt like a Top 10 would coincide perfectly with this moment. Without further ado, I present Top 10: 10 Reasons Bow Wow Isn’t Cocky Anymore! Oh and remember, these Top 10 lists are ALLL in good fun, so please remove the “LowKey is a hater” notions from your brains, PLEASE?

10. Jermaine Dupri dresses better than him, sometimes?

9. He recorded an album with Omarion……

8. He’s too old to posses a Napoleon Complex.

7. He lost the title of “Mr. 106 and Park” to Soulja Boy. OUCH?!

6. Game tapped that ass in Madden Football within 10 minutes…..

5. He realized if he kept popping that fly ish, JD would EASILY find another light skinned kid from Columbus, Ohio to make famous.

4. Once you address bloggers, it’s allll down hill after that. And once you address video vixens, it’s REALLY downhill after that…..

3. He made a song called “Marco Polo”. Playing Peak-A-Boo with Soulja Boy in a pool full of females isn’t a good look…..

2. He got caught cheating on Ciara. You can’t posses any cockiness after that…..

1. And after he got caught, 50 Cent went and gave her a comforting hug…..with his shirt off….ON TV!

Sincerely

If you married the hottest chick in the game would you care about another rapper? Didn’t think so……

Usually when I comb through random internet ramblings, I reserve commentary for the barbershop or a one on one convo with one of my ace boon coons (another name for “homey”). However, a certain post over at Sohh.Com (scroll down to the one about The Game and Jay-Z) peaked my interest, which then sparked me to construct a Top 10 post. Before I proceed, this post is NOT a slap in the face to the writer that composed the piece, it’s just my personal take on the subject at hand.

Over the years, I’ve noticed President Carter doesn’t extend his microphone to many. And when he does, it’s through former affiliation or employee partnership which leads me to believe Jay really doesn’t give a rats ass about the common rapper. Now I know the surface of that comment sounds harsh, but hear me out. When Hov came into the game, he pretty much received the cold shoulder from a lot of people. But of course, as his popularity grew, so did the courtship from other MC’s. Aside from Yeezy, T.I., Jeezy, Jadakiss, Ross, Nas (if someone earned me a check, I’d care for them, too), Common and maybe like 2 others, Young Hov could careless about a rapper or if they like his music or personality.

With that said, here are my top 10 reasons as to why Jay-Z Doesn’t Care About Other Rappers. ENJOY!

10. His best friend (Memphis Bleek) is his favorite rapper.…..

9. He’ll indirectly diss your album title even if you’re on the same label as him, lol! “F**k talkin bout the recession, its just depressin” – Jockin Jay-Z (Dope Boy Fresh)

8. Why would he waste his time dissing an American rapper, when he can publically humiliate an international rock star in HIS own city??

7. They’ll end up working for him sooner than later……

6. There isn’t a chance in HELL he would be caught dead on stage with someone wearing a flannel shirt sporting a lip piercing and a lightning bolt tattooed to their forehead.

5. Anyone running around in circles during a performance for one of my artists would PISS me off, also!

4. You can’t care for someone who talks about your grandmother one day, and then hearts you the next…..it’s just not possible!

3. You can’t care for someone who calls you a f*g one day and then diddy bops to a song he hated since he wasn’t asked to be apart of it..I mean seriously!

2. Caring is sharing, and Jay already shares ENOUGH!

1. There comes a point in time where your lady, your blackberry and a bottle of champagne you own are the only things you need in life!

Sincerely

Low “Honestly, If I were Jay, I wouldn’t care either” Key

Uh ohhhhh…..GAME ON! Stuff like this makes me love my job to the 7523423635th power. So, I was just handed the line up for the 2008 BET Hip Hop Awards, and to be quite honest, this list looks pretty effin AWESOME. As you know, the 2008 BET Hip Hop Awards is going down next weekend at the Atlanta Civic Center (the show is being pre-recorded). Now since I’m the house blogger, I’ll be ripping and running through ATL damn near the entire week of October 13-19, but we’ll talk more about that later, lol

This year’s performers will be, Young Jeezy, Ludacris, Common, NERD, Lil Wayne, T-Pain, The Game, Lady of Rage, Mc Lyte and Yoyo. My only question to that is where the EFFF is T.I.???? Homey just moved 500 plus units and he can’t get a slot??? No worries, I’m sure the network and the KING have something up their sleeve for this years festivities. Here’s some additional about the Awards…..

“Showcasing past and present music icons, BET HIP HOP AWARDS ‘08 takes the competition to a whole new level with scheduled appearances by a slew of hip hop heavyweights including GZA, Wu-Tang Clan, Raekwon, Masta Killa, U-God, Inspectah Deck, and RZA. Adding to the hype, rapper Jadakiss will pump up the crowd as celebrity announcer, while the famed DJ Drama spins all night. A special tribute will also be paid to female pioneers in hip hop who have paved the way for women in a predominantly male industry.”

And since I’m not sure whether or not I can announce the line up for their infamous hip hop awards cipher, just know it’s going to be dope, to say the least!

For more info on the 2008 BET Hip Hop Awards, slide over here….NOW!

Sincerely

Low “Ahhhhhhh sh*t, ATL’s going to be POPPIN next week” Key

Hip Hop takes over New Mexico! I must say, my job is pretty damn awesome. This weekend, I’m heading out to New Mexico for the 3rd Annual New Mexico Takeover. Though I’ve never set foot on New Mexico soil, I heard it’s plenty to do out there. Fusion Promotions and New Mexico’s KISS 97.3Fm are partnering up to bring this exclusive event to life for the third straight year in a row. Says Damian Barth, President of Fusion Promotions, of this weekend’s festivities, “When I was younger, I remember many of the tours that I wanted to see never came through New Mexico, said Damian Barth, President at Fusion Promotions, LLC. ”Now we have the chance to create one of the biggest events; normally only seen in cities like New York, and Los Angeles and bring it to New Mexico.”

I’m taking to the skies tomorrow morning, so I should touch down4:30 New Mexico time and 7:30 NYC tim. Check back throughout the weekend for a couple updates from my New Mexico expedition.

Beef is getting played out, NO MORE DRAMA!

It’s come to my attention that in the last 24 months, hip hop has become friendly; weird right? Not that I condone hip hop warfare, but it’s mind boggling how all of a sudden one minute two rivals are penning viscous responses and the next they’re recording songs together. Maybe it’s this recession we’re enduring or the fact that Sarah Palin doesn’t have the slightest clue as to what the Bush Doctrine is (so sad).

Regardless, rappers are making amends, and it’s happening at the speed of light. First, Jay and Nas kicked of the “Hip Homey” brigade by ceasing the peace at Power 105’s, I Declare War Concert. The two lyrical prophets graced the stage; hugging, kissing and rapping each other’s songs to the pleasure of 20,000 screaming hip hop advocates. After that, it was all down hill from there (in regards to hip hop beefs). Now, I’m not going to sit here and address each beef that was resolved in the last year and a half (Jada vs. 50 Cent, T.I. Vs. Shawty Lo, Ludacris vs. T.I. to name a few), but I will list the active beefs that still plague our mixtapes, radio shows and hood dvd’s.

The Game has some choice words for Jay-Z. OH BOY!I guess some of today’s hip hop artist rely solely on stirring up controversy for their upcoming projects, well at least Game does (and 50, lol). So I was rifling through the internets earlier this morning, because well, that’s what I get paid to due, and I encountered this Game interview with Chino from Cali’s 104.7 FM. Now if you’re an avid follower of Game’s radio interviews, one might be bracing himself for what might potentially, be some unorthodox ish.

I press play, and the foolery begins. Chino starts off normal, you know, inquiring about The Game’s new project, L.A.X. and other interesting Game info. But then, unexpectedly to be exact, Chino brings up some old chitter chatter he heard through the grapevine. Chino says to the Game, “So I heard when Jay-Z was out a Wimbledon someone asked him, ’so when are you gonna get at The Game?” Game says nothing, so Chino says, “Jay responded, ‘We’ll let him commit suicide”. Now, I’m not sure how true that blurb from Jay-Z is, but let’s just say it is, for Game’s sake.

Game seems a bit taken back for a second, and even goes on to say how much of a legend Hova is, but right after the praising finishes, the tough talk commences. Game responds, “I’m too disrespectful for Jay-Z, I go to hard. His beef is mediocre beef, it’s more swag and less hardcore. Me, I go in on your grandma, your kids and your girl….it will get ugly and I don’t mind. I have a whole coast to back me. My coast will turn their backs on whoever I turn my back on. So basically, let me commit suicide because I’m the only cat to commit suicide and resurrect every time. So for Jay to say that about me, that’s cool man because he’s Jay-Z and I’m jus lil ol game. But if you fuck with me I’ll turn to a beast, and ill rip ya head off..bust ya lips….turn the rocafella sign into (whatever he said). Let’s tie the shoes on something and let it walk. You have something to promote, use me as your tool and get broke down limb by limb.”

Why Game??? WHY???? Why are you baiting this man? I completely understand your position, trust me I do! You have an album coming out, 50’s not paying you a dime of attention, I GET IT, TRUST ME! But why bring Hov into your mess? Wouldn’t you like to end your rap tenure on a good note? How bad would it be if Hov came out firing tonight and straight up dismantled everything you stood for? Not to ride the Hov train no longer than I am now (lol, I’ll admit it), but you can’t get anymore disrespectful than this…..

(”Super Ugly” Jay-Z’s response to “Ether”) “Me and the boy AI got more in common, than just ballin and rhymin/get it, more in Carmen. I came in your Bentley backseat, skeeted in your jeep/left condoms on your baby seat. Yea nucca the gloves is off, the love is done/it’s whatever, whenever, however nucca, ONE! And since you infatuated with saying that gay sh*t/you was kissin my d*ck when you was kissin that b*tch. Nasty sh*t, you thought I was bonnin Vanette/you callin Carm a hundred times, I was bonnin her neck. You got a baby by the broad, you can’t disown her yet. When do your lies end? When does the truth begin? When does reality set in or does it not matter/it’s gotta hurt I’m your baby mama’s favorite rapper. And ask your current girl, she knows what’s up/holla at a real ni&&a cause ni&&a I don’t give a f%ck”

To be honest, it doesn’t get any worse than that, Game. Anyway, hopefully, LA’s finest will come back to his rap senses and leave it alone, if not, I’m sure he’ll regret it if Hov chooses to fire back.

*50 Voice* Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, Whoa…..

Sorry, I just love singing that absurd melody lol. Anyway, so I was listening to G-Unit’s newest offering, Terminate On Sight at my desk and I noticed a line on the track, Rider Part 2 (Lol, I’m mad I’m acting like the song is new) in which Young Buck, in a haunting but ironic statement, states “Even if 50 drop me, I still wouldn’t sign”.

Ok, so here goes….

2 Weeks ago, the obvious and hilarious happened, remember? And though Young Buck is still TECHNICALLY signed to G-Unit/Interscope Records, what does the future hold for this man’s recording career. I mean, let’s think about it…Young Buck & 50 obviously won’t be seeing eye to eye anytime soon and we all know when 50 puts his foot down on any issue, that’s usually how the situation goes. Both parties, 50 and Buck, have publicly denounced each other without hesitation so, for the most part, a working relationship between the two of them is walking straight out the front door.

And since we ALL know 50 is pretty big on loyalty, Buck has since blown any chance of reconciliation with the G-Unit bunch since he went and put a verse on the remix to The Game’s current single, “Game’s Pain”, which also features several of 50’s other arch nemesis, Fat Joe and Jadakiss.

With it being painfully obvious that 50 and Young Buck are no longer BFF, the punchline, “Even If 50 drop me, I still wouldn’t sign” has been brought back to life. So the question I place in your possession is this, since 50 DID in fact drop Young Buck, what label would he fit nice with? Bad Boy? Roc-A-Fella? Cash Money? Derrty Ent (Nelly’s label), Terror Squad? Dipset? D-Block? BlackwallStreet (Game’s label)?, Grand Hustle (T.I.’s label)?

Sincerely

Low “Since 50 DID drop me, I wonder with whom I’m gon sign? (that should’ve been the line)” Key

They say exercise is good for the mind body and soul so I guess LowKey is one healthy S.O.B. (sorry, too vulgar?). The last couple of days I’ve been ripping and running all across America. From the plush rooms of The Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas to the conference rooms with Jermaine Dupri at Island Def Jam, my excursions have been very festive.

Yesterday I got the pleasure to meet (well observe) Jermaine Dupri’s next golden goose, Dondria, better known as PhattPhatt, to her plethora of YouTube subscribers. Though I didn’t stay for Dondria’s one on one interviews (I’ll be talking to her later next week), I did receive the chance to hear some of her material, in which JD produced all of (last time he did that much work on one project was Confessions). I can honestly say from what I previewed yesterday, this young star is destined for some type of success. I’m still skeptical about how quick they’re distributing the project, but hey, JD asserted it’s for the best since her online community has been heckling him for it since she first showed her face on the screens of YouTube.

After chatting with super producer about the new layout of distributing music (more on that later), I took a trip downstairs to harass my usual Def Jam personnel which includes Drew (423,000 first day, cough it up big guy) Melo, JD, Jamal (thanks for the 20 spot), Mazzi (whas up Bro?!), Tim (you don’t never give me ish) Young Sav and Steve-O (whewwww that LL record is the one!) Ahhh, fun times. I checked the Crackbeery with a message reading “Game is in the greenrom, this would be a perfect time to talk with him”. FUDGE! I hit 8th Ave with the hopes of hailing a cab, but of course, you know how that goes! So, I hit the underground, and waited for the A-Train. It seemed like public transportation was working against my favor, because the A-Treezy was NOWHERE to be found. Time is clicking and I’m still 8 blocks away from my destination.

I FINALLY snatched a cab and it’s off to the races. 7 minutes later, I hit the studio, scurry up to the third floor and it’s a mad house!! Game’s entourage is 532353452 deep and Chris Brown (he did his thing over Lil Wayne’s “A Milli”) is on the other side of the hallway acting like his young energetic self. I locate Kendra G (WHAD UP KG???) and the wait begins. I cop a squat and until Jayceon (that’s his real name) is ready, which wasn’t for another 30 minutes. In the meantime, him and his homies killed sometime by playing garbage basketball. Great, I wonder how long this is going to take.

Instead of being a sour pouch kid, I turned the situation into a positive one. I took out my photo flicking apparatus and got to work (scroll down for the evidence). But wait, it gets better; here comes Chris Brown! Yes!! Let’s take this a notch higher and actually record these two relive their elementary school days. Chris comes in and gets busy with the rest of the BlackWallStreet Family. Though he wasn’t placing any bets (they were betting $100 on each shot), Chris was still having a ball. I guess I was in the right place at the right time…..CHECK IT OUT RIGHT NOW!!!

After the game concluded, I finally got to speak with Game. And even though he was kind of blah and uninterested, I made the best of what he had to offer (more on that later). Finished up, and dipped back to the office. Wheeew, what a day! I’ll be ripping and running some more today, so make sure you check back tomorrow for more industry adventures with LowKey.

Sincerely
