Make up your mind, Weezy!  Maybe I’m being a lil to hard on the lil fella, but DAMN IT Wayne, we don’t need another Carter 3 at this point in your career. I understand you have…..wait, wait, wait, let me break down logistics to this post before I go off on one of my usual creative rants. From my understanding, and the reporting of MTV.Com’s Hip Hop editor, Shaheem Reid, Weezy is now gearing up to release another version to The Carter 3, but with allll new material. Now, if I’m not mistaken, that’s pretty much a new body of work.

Clinging onto the successful dreams of The Carter 3 is cute, but extremely unnecessary. What if it suck’s and happens to tarnish the image of the original Carter 3, then what??? And even if you attach a byline to the project (i.e. The Rebirth) it still holds the ambiance of The Carter 3 because you, my friend, are still piggy backing on the original name.

Wayne, you’re it right now, I get it….TRUST ME! But, that’s no excuse for this new stunt.  Why not repackage this into a different package? I know, add some guest features to the the already placed tracks and add a couple new verses, therefore, you could only enhance the material since everyone’s already in love with the project, NO? Or, instead of putting out another album so fast, why not retreat to DJ Drama’s bat cave and carve out the third installment to The Dedication???? No….?????

Fine, don’t take my advice. All I know is the new Carter 3 or Carter 4 or Carter 3.65 or whatever the hell you’re calling it BETTER not suck, sir. Somehow, you’ve captivated the attention of many and they just can’t let you out of their sights. Go figure. Anyway, I’ll be waiting……………DON’T DISAPPOINT!
