T.I. Covers April Issue Of VIBE Magazine…….

The King’s last stand……. Malcolm X, no? Ok, moving right along. Not that he doesn’t deserve it, but it’s only right Mr. Harris grace the cover of VIBE’s April issue since he’s going on a government retreat for about 365 days.
It looks like T.I.P’s cover story won’t be the traditional, “Howdoesitfeelknowingurgoingtojailoversomedumbsh*t” feature, but more so, how exactly the logistics of his groundbreaking plea deal were actually worked out. Some deemed him a snitch, others labeled him one of the luckiest bast*rds to walk the face of this earth. Me personally, I believe GOD had something to do with that.
Says VIBE magazine of their groundbreaking April Issue…….
“In an extensive report titled “Cell Therapy,” VIBE Senior Editor Benjamin Meadows-Ingram chronicles the superstar’s history-making legal battle and gut-wrenching journey since his 2007 arrest for attempting to collect three unregistered machine guns and two silencers following his BET Hip Hop Awards performance rehearsal.
After the announcement on March 27, 2008 of what many felt was a shockingly light slap on the wrist for the serious charges, many responded by screaming, “Snitch!” However, authorities agreed to a groundbreaking plea deal negotiated by heavyweight Criminal Defense Attorney, Steve Sadow, who cited the star’s ability to influence others by serving 1500 hours of community service.
T.I. bites back at rumors about how he scored this largely unprecedented deal by saying, “Ain’t no such thing as a secret snitch…Pull up my agreement. It’s public record.”

It’s the question that’s been the elephant in every room T.I.’s sat in since he received the plea deal, so I’ll have to ask it here as well; How much will T.I.’s career suffer during the duration of his government retreat? I think TIP will be okay. I honestly believe he is reaping what he has sown in the past. He was arrogant and hot headed. I think God allow this to happen to humble him and TI realizes it. God has a way of showing EVERY and ANY BODY he is GOD. You can look at him and tell this is really affecting him. Back in the day if he was facing time it wasn’t a major a issue as it is now. He has a WHOLE LOT MORE TO LOOSE. I am not just referring to his record career. He is talented. That he will not loose. I am saying as far as family and other investments/endorsements. TIP has matured over the years. To come from where he has came from and to have what he has is not easy to give up. Hustlin’ is hard to give up because of the speedy wealth. But when that can be replaced by something you love doing and it’s legit, that’s priceless. I think he is surrounded by good people and this time will show him more of GOD, of him and who really is there for him. Hold yo head TIP. Do the time, don’t let it do you. T.I. is a very accomplished rapper/actor and I feel he will prevail. To quote a couple of his songs “I ain’t dead I ain’t done I ain’t scared I ain’t run” and “O been traveling down this road too long tryin to find my way back home THE OLD ME IS DEAD AND GONE.” We as a people need not to be so quick to judge. People make mistakes and he seems to have finally learned from his. He reminds me of my husband with being locked up so many times but jail is like a drug you have to hit rock bottom to be done with it. To close out I agree with BIggKevin Sr.’s comment as well.
