Victim of Remy Ma (AND REMY MA!) Speaks Out

Makeda Barnes-Joseph, the victim in the Remy Ma shooting, speaks out in a radio interview with Miss Jones on NYC Hot 97’s morning show. In a passionate interview, the victim was crying and giving her side of the story. “It was me and Remy in that car. I know who shot me,” she said. Though Makeda says that she was advised not to do interviews, she went on to detail the incident. “Because I didn’t give up my bag, she shot me. I’m, like, ‘Remy you shot me!’ ”
“I sat in the hospital for three weeks and 1 day, Miss Jones. The scars on my stomach are crazy. I don’t even know if I can have kids. You can’t say 8 years is excessive. She got a kid. I may not be able to have kids,” Makeda passionately cries. On Monday (May 12), Remy was sentenced to 8 years, after she was convicted for assault for the shooting.
The victim continued to speak out. “Everyone who was there know what happened, Miss Jones…I’m not out for no money. I wouldn’t steal from Remy, that was my girl. If you see her anywhere, I was with her. We was cool. I never asked Remy for anything. I would never steal from nobody.”
Remy called the station a few minutes later to talk to Miss Jones and assert her innocence. “I don’t care if 12 million said guilty. I was there. She was there. I’m not agreeing to this.
Miss Jones asked Remy how she was holding up. Remy replied, “I’m okay. Everybody is wondering why i’m not on the floor crying my eyes out.”

In the state of Florida, Remy would have gotten 10 years for brandishing a gun, plus another 10 years for pulling the trigger, plus another 5-10 for causing serious bodily harm. She needs to consider herself very lucky in this case.
The innocent party is Remy’s son.
I really am sad about the whole situation because so many of us young people have so many choices and believe it or not Remy was a roll model and there are so many young people out there who will want to follow and that’s so so so dam sad she should have been #1 a better roll model for not her self but her SON because when it all boils down to it that’s who shes going to have to look at and realize she cant be with or take care of him for 8 long years DAM

this is for both parties. this is a sad situation cause i do not believe that the girl was totally innocent(the victim)herself i believe that this was something that has been going on and i feel like Remy just got tired of it and snapped. everybody know aint nobody gone snap for no reason forget trying to be hard that girl most likely was trying her in other words she probably was stealing her money and getting away with it so long that and she thought Remy didnt know. to the victim think about if it was you woould you have shot Remy if she continued to steal from you playing you weak. you say she couldnt have been thinking bout her son too much how do you know you are not her but at her but at the end of teh day i truly wish the best for both of you all i hopr you can find it in your heart to forgive her and move on with your life.believe me when i say that she is going to get hers God will handle Remy you just need to worry about taking care of yourself.

This sittuation is sad very sad her music finally was getting her away from the deep ghetto of castle hill but she played herself big time acting gangster rolling streets with guns and blunts like a sniper and an attic now your worried about your son well sweetie real mothers struggling are not out here for that 8 years is not that bad imagine the time you would of got if you would have killed her and as for your fiance he he really love you he will wait and get his weight up and get his butt in the studio to make money because the way Remy was eating these past few years shes going to need a lot of convisary in the facility account .
I dont know who did it but god will handle it. If remy ma didn’t do it than Makeda will suffer 10 times worser. If she lied on Remy knowing she got a son than she wrong. If Remy Ma did do it than she got what she deeserved. God bless both of them and Remy son.

Whatever the case may be, we have to remember the case is closed and Remy has been sentenced. Whether or not she REALLY did it is irrelevant now! Remy needs to understand that she has to show remorse for what she was CONVICTED of, not what “really happened that night”. Doing that might get her back to her son sooner than later. Sad part is that 3 Grand will be less than a dollar a day for her 8yr sentence. Pray for the world.

We was not there to know what happen. Friends don’t steal from friends or shoot them. I know when you are upset you don’t think straight. Remy
should of handle the situation another way.
I listen to all of you dumb asses and I ask, what if it was you that got shot, the girl clearly with a sound mind said that “remy” shot her. you live by the sword you die by the sword. she got just what she deserved for shooting that girl. Just because she can rap doesnt mean that she is not capable of shooting someone. you all are blinded by fame and what you see in videos, you need to start looking at things from a realistic perspective and stop thinking about how happy she made you when you were doin the “lean back, and start thinking about “what if it were your son or daughter that she shot!!! IDIOTS.
