As a 52 year old grandmother. I watched as much as I could of the BET Hip Hop awards show, and was disturbed by the so many of the young artist who were so much gaudy jewelry. It was over the top. I haven’t her Akon song, but the few times that I have seen him on television he wasn’t dripping in diamonds and gold. Their are alot of young men getting paid doing negative things. Akon should be paid for his hard work. My God continue to bless you young man.

I mean I don’t agree with throwing things in people faces especially right..Alot of families are fighing to get thro a day, making decisions get gas for work or feed my children, or should I pay my electric bill or let it go. Its no joke what is going on, however he does have the right to say what he wants too. However, people need to be reminded that what you may have right now doesn’t mean it will be there tomorrow..

I admire akon for taking responsibility for his negative actions in the past, but i think it is time for him to stop apologizing for everything he does. We are all human and we all make mistakes in life.He told us about his past in his song, so why can’t he tell us about his present! Keep on making those hits Akon, i love you so much! You are a possitive influence in my life.
